Um, Woody, the race was at Charlotte, not Darlington.

Eric Reed on Promotion
After the points for the VART were calculated following the Charlotte race, it was revealed that Eric Reed just barely made the promotion group. Reed was tied with Will Thomas in points, the tiebreaker being that Reed had 3 top-10s to Thomas' 2.
"I feel bad for him," Reed said, referring to Will Thomas, "but I feel like this 35 team deserved this promotion. We had a very difficult 2010 season, but we were able to pull it back together and start the 2011 season running. We haven't been the fastest car out there week in and week out, but we've run well enough to finish in the top-10 in all three races so far."

Casey Lester: AWESOME JOB, MARK! You got the promotion! Way to go! I can't even do better than my own team! I just have to make this race count. That'll prove that I can make a mark here in the VSCC ansd I contacted Shane [Lake] not too long ago and he says if I am to be demoted, I will go down to the VART.

Re: VART Race 3 - Charlotte
Cameron Taylor's thoughts on the race.
VERC driver Cameron Taylor was at Charlotte before flying to Francorchamps, Belgium for the Spa VERC race. He commented on the results:
"Ryan Baldwell will go down as one of the stock car greats of the 2000s. It's fantastic to see him
winning in my opinion, he made a good call to come to the VSCC. I also think that Eric Reed in particular and Reed Racing in general are making a nice comback, with the difficultly they had last year and the death of Jack Lucas Samson.
Andrew Tammerzan said,
"Ryan Baldwell is doing a fantastic job here, he's a great driver. Hey, do you have Sara Gallagher's number..."
