Personally, I agree 110% with what Lauda is saying here. To me as well, the FIA are getting involved with this too much. I thought the incident with Perez and Massa at Montreal was a Racing deal, and then the FIA hands down a pretty harsh penalty to Perez, when there really shouldn't, considering that was on the last lap and something like that was probably going to happen.

To be fair, they are taking steps toward this. The ruling on the Vettel/Gutierrez incident is such an example.

Problem is, if something happens, and the FIA does nothing stating "Oh, it's just a racing deal", there will be a group of fans that will either claim that "Hey, since the FIA punished for that in the past, they should still punish now!", or "What are they waiting for?!? For someone to get killed"?!?

Yeah, but then again, this happens with every single FIA decision, no matter how good or bad it is.
