This might not interest most of you, but this is something that I'm genuinely interested in.

Well, I'd always feared this day had come.

Hate to burst everyone's bubble, but it seems that this is not the groundbreaking news we thought it was.

Regardless, the Turing Test is not an exact means of determining whether a machine is intelligent. Rather, it just determines whether that machine can behave like a human. I'm sure I don't need to explain how these are different things.

Well, all I have to say about this is it's about time.

Better yet, this comes just in time for what would have been Turing's 102nd birthday on the 23rd. Not quite a  round number but it's noteworthy.

Apparently the guy who ran this test is a known quack. The article linked above is pretty insightful.

I, Robot is one step closer to coming true, and having read it, that's totally fine by me. Great news!
