It's Game 1 in a best-of-3. Virginia scored two runs in the Bottom of the 1st, but have completely fallen apart in the Top of the 3rd, where Vandy have scored six runs: one on an RBI single with the bases loaded; three on three straight walks with the bases loaded; one on a bad error by the Virginia first baseman; and another on a sac fly to right. And I was typing this, Tyler Campbell laced a grounder down the left field line, clearing the bases, and making it 9-2 Vandy.

Both teams are looking for their first baseball national championship; for Vandy, it would be their first NCAA championship in a men's team sport.

Vandy wins Game 1 9-8. Virginia gifted them the game with bad pitching in that Top of the 3rd, and then poor pitching by Vandy almost gave it right back. They win Game 2 tomorrow night, the title is theirs, but they need a quality outing from their starter, something they've lacked in this tournament, and better hitting with runners on, because outside of the 3rd, they couldn't drive in any runs.

Vandy wins a tightly-contested Game 3 3-2. John Norwood smacked the game-winning homer in the Top of the 8th over the left field fence. It's Vandy's first national championship in baseball, and first NCAA championship in any men's team sport. The only other team sport NCAA title for Vandy?
