- Spoiler:
- Macena Motorsports fires half of the engineers after dismal day at Langhorne
What it looked to be a string of bad luck was revealed to be unreliabity, due to engineers "work". After losing good results due to engine woes, the team owners decided to fire most of the engineers working on the Elite Series effort. Is not known when the new engineers will debut, but as to mark a new era in the team, they'll start using new paintchemes, mostly due to new sponsorship provided by Haas Manufacturing, Maynard and tirADE.
"Those lazy idiots are thinking that making a car really fast is enough, we blew up in the middle of a 50-lapper, we fired them all, hopefully they'll learn how to don't be idiots" - said the team owner Roberto de Souza, father of Gabriel and Isabella Macena

"Damn Saar reliability" -AJ Reed remarks when he gets out of the car. "We'll just go onto next week and hope for better results."

- Spoiler:
- A Tale of Three Races for TDR at Langhorne
The sprint races went smoothly enough, with all three TDR entries securing spots in the feature race. However, things went south relatively early as Tom Delgado fell out with engine failure. "We still don't know what happened with the Defender Lenard. We had a fine run in the sprint, yet we went up in smoke early in the feature. We'll have to see what went wrong and fix it for next time" Delgado said of his exit.
Later on in the event, Jim Hayes started a violent crash involving Jon Halks, who was none too pleased with the situation. When asked about the Hayes incident, Delgado was not happy: "I'm starting to wonder if the drivers on this team can get through a week without causing unnecessary shenanigans" Delgado said with a groan.
Meanwhile, Joseph Howard had another day of grinding out a good finish. Despite falling a lap down during the race, the defending Elite Series champion was able to get back on the lead lap and make his way to a 3rd place finish. Howard, who is a legend in motorsports, was able to use his vast experience to get through the field and maximize his points haul for the day.

- Spoiler:
- Posadas happy with first win, not so with the outcome.
Hotshot Racing driver Kelly Posadas finally got her first win in the 2nd of the FARC Elite Series races at Langhorne. Unfortunately for her, it wasn't the way she wanted it though, after taking out Radomir Stanoytchev and Kevin Monroe while the three if them were fighting for the lead."It's great to finally get a win for myself, it's just not the way I wanted it though. I was trying to get a good run on Stanoytchev through Turn 4, he thought I was gonna pass him but I got too close up behind and it hooked the two cars together."
Posadas was then asked if she wanted to apologise to Stanoytchev and Monroe,"If I see them yes I will. It's probably th best thing to do after what happened." For Posadas, Race 3 was not any better. Her car wasn't particularly on the pace, and then it all went up in smoke as her engine blew up under caution." Pretty disappointing end to the Weekend for us, but we can at least take the positives out of the weekend to bring it on for the rest of the season, and also to learn my mistake from the accident with Stanoytchev. It's important to gain as much points as possible early on if we want to make a run for championship, and this year me and my team feel good enough to do so if we keep up the pace and get good results out of it."

- Spoiler:
- Matthews' hot streak continues, snags points lead:
To say Ryan Matthews' 2014 season has been better than his 2013 is an understatement.
It's been like night and day.
After logging only one top-five finish in 2013, Matthews now has three, as he logged a pair of fifth-place runs at the DoughNuts 150 at the historic Langhorne Speedway.
"I can't talk enough about how we've turned things around from last year," he said. "We still have a little ways to go, but for us to be where we are compared to where we were is amazing."
Matthews is now in a place he hasn't been since his late-model days - in the points lead.
"That's really cool, to finally be at the top of the mountain," he said. "The challenge now is staying there, especially with COTA coming up in a month or so. That means continuing to have good finishes, not get into trouble, and just do what we do."

- Spoiler:
- Big Mac Racing Has Mostly Successful Weekend
Makoto Yamada had a lot to be excited about this race weekend. After struggling but keeping his nose clean in Race 2, Yamada finished 13th. The crew improved the car drastically for the main event. Yamada finished in 4th place and led several laps throughout the race. Makoto said, "I had a lot of trouble getting the car into gear on restarts. Besides that, the car was very good today." This top 5 finish launches Yamada into 3rd in the points standings, by far the highest position he has been in his FARC career.
Monica Rook started her weekend strong by finishing 2nd place in her second career start. Her short track experience likely helped her here. However, Rook qualified deep in the field in the main event. She worked her way up to 12th before her engine grenaded. Rook was very unhappy after the DNF. "I didn't do a thing wrong this weekend. I almost won the first race and probably could've won the second race if everybody in the engine department did their jobs correctly." Despite the engine failure and part-time effort, Rook is currently sitting 20th in the points standings.

- Spoiler:
- The Struggle Continues for Webster
After a 2013 season that was filled with 9 top 10s and 2 top 5s, Webster has yet to find success in his first full-time season in the FARC Elite Series for Accelerator Motorsports. In the latest string of misfortunes for this #41 team, Webster's engine expired just 4 laps in to the second round of the 50/50 Sprints before the Doughnuts 150. The engine expired under a caution that Webster sparked by turning Scott Dalitz around off of turn 4.
"I really don't have an excuse or reason why I turned Dalitz. I felt bad afterwards and I was certainly glad to see Dalitz continue on." Webster said after climbing from his car.
The rough season started off in the Smash Beer 500 qualifiers, where Webster crashed out early on in D-Main #1. Webster would be placed into the Smash Beer 500 instead of Megan Driver so that Webster could get his first full-time season off on the right foot. Webster completed just 73 laps in the Smash Beer 500 before blowing a header and finishing 32nd.
Webster made it just 28 laps in the 50/50 Sprint #1 for the Loan Pros 200 before getting collected in a crash and falling out of the race.
And now in the latest of early exits to races, Webster makes it just 4 laps in 50/50 Sprint #2 before the Doughnuts 150 before having the engine expire.
"It certainly has been a challenging start for this SuperCharged Energy crew, especially after the success in 2013. 4 straight DNFs is not the way you want to start off the season, but that's where we are. We're just going to keep fighting and hopefully get some finishes put together where we can be making the main events and getting points. We really need to start getting points. This is the same crew I had in 2013, just under a different owner, so I have confidence in this group of guys, and I know I still have Greg Woodard's support through all of this."

Luke Ocean has an engine expire as Lora Ocean, in her first feature race appear since last season goes up in smoke thanks to a crash
"Not really sure what happened yet, we did fine in the Sprint Race, but as the Feature was happening, the engine just felt like it was going away and sure enough under yellow, something blew. But hey, that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes and hopefully next time the engine will hold up, I'm sure our team owner Alice [Hawk] will make sure of it." - Luke Ocean

- "I don't really understand why people like the Joseph Howard and Andrea Kinasa had to drive like idiots over their heads before lap 30, but in short ruined our and Nick's day. This is just so frustrating. - Lora Ocean

- Spoiler:
- Neil Miller Continues Surprising Strong Start for Wesley Family Racing Rookies
Before the beginning of the 2014 FARC season, few might have expected anything to come from Wesley Family Racing's two young part-time drivers, Aaron Singer and Neil Miller. However, with the team's equipment showing improved speed since last season, the two have begun putting up impressive results. The normally unimpressive Singer scored his best career finish of 6th in his sprint at Columbia, after rumors of a post-race disqualification proved false. Now, Miller, the 17-year old rookie, has scored impressive results at his home track of Langhorne. Miller scored a ninth place finish in his sprint, and then went on to snag a 16th place finish in the feature, picking up the high climber bonus in both.
"It's great to come back to a track that FARC hasn't seen in a few years, and to get a great result at my home track", Miller said post-race. "Hopefully a win will be around the corner, and I'm also holding out that the officials will bring back some more old tracks. There were some great venues from about 15, 20 years ago that definitely need to come back!"
Full-time driver Richard Scott, now in his second full season, has been no slouch either; he is currently 11th in the points standings, and scored his best finish of the season, 10th, in his sprint.

Libby Answers The Bell To Take Feature At DoughNuts 150
The running of the DoughNuts 150 at the circular 1-mile Langhorne Speedway nestled in scenic Middletown, Pennsylvania played witness one of the all time efforts in moxie by one Libby Bell. Bell's SPI teammates Bigsby Foote and Rip Tyler swept the front row of Sprint 1 with Foote capturing the pole. But trouble quickly came to the SPI front row in the form of Cletus McGuffie of Team Burr and Ashley Tucker of Bjorn Green Racing.
Tyler was not happy with McGuffie to say the least. "I really think I could have run away with Sprint 1 if not for the #54 car. He held me us a few times and that in turn caused me to be stuck further back in the field with the lapped #90 car (Ashley Tucker). I feel bad that Bigsby got into our mess and that it took both of us out early (lap 32)."
Bell managed to get through Sprint 1 unscathed and finish third but could only watch helplessly as Motor Assault Racing's #4 car of Kiki Hitsuno took the win.
Kelly Posadas won Sprint 2.
Things looked promising for Bell at the start of the feature race however as she was slotted in 4th on the grid. It seemed as if disaster struck Bell in the form of a botched pit stop that sent her to the back of the pack.
"Hell yeah I was concerned about being back there," Bell stated. "They were going 4 wide out there at times!" Bell managed to refocus and slowly began the task of working her #16 LiberTea car through the field.
It seemed all for naught when suddenly on lap 48 the #17 car of Joseph Howard and the #61 car of Ryan Matthews spun Bell and the #27 of Richard Scott up the track and into the wall. Scott was done for the day but Bell was determined to get stay in the race.
"My crew really redeemed themselves once the wreck occurred," Bell said. "A lot of drivers in this series would have just gotten drunk and watched My Little Pony in their underwear if they were crashed like we were," Bell commented-- tongue firmly in cheek.
Bell then had two choices-- fold up the tent or overcome the adversity-- and she chose the latter. "Don't forget, Rip Tyler is my teammate and I've seen first hand multiple times what his positive attitude married with his single minded determination can accomplish."
A critical error in the timing of opening the pits made by Race Control forced Anthony Griffith and Jim Hayes to the rear of the field. It was a fortuitous break for Bell. "Anytime anything bad happens to Anthony Griffith, I'm overjoyed!" exclaimed Bell.
The crash seemed to make Bell's car even faster and she zoomed back up to third place in the blink of an eye thanks to a long green flag run. It wasn't long before Bell eventually took over the lead of the race, but the drama wasn't over yet. The #4 car of Kiki Hitsuno, running 2 laps down, decided to play bumper tag with the leader of the race almost spinning the #16 car several times in the process during the late stages of the race.
"I don't know what her deal was," stated a confused Bell. "But I stopped by her pit stall before heading to victory lane to convey my displeasure with her actions as nicely as I could. Under the circumstances, anyway. I didn't want to ruin our celebration because we won in spite of their attempts. But yeah, it was pretty ridiculous. Hopefully it's settled, but if not, I made a mental note of it for future reference."
With her win, Bell moved up into 13th place in the overall points standings.
