Re: 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix
Nico Rosberg has been given a reprimand by the FIA for forcing Sergio Perez in a Force India to swerve around him when he slowed up during the second practice session.
Re: 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix
Nico Rosberg has taken Pole Position for tomorrow's Bahrain Grand Prix, with his teammate Lewis Hamilton 2nd and Daniel Ricciardo for Red Bull taking 3rd. Some other notes include Valtteri Bottas qualifying 4th, Sergio Perez starting 5th and more importantly, Sebastian Vettel failed to make it to Q3, only managing 11th.

Re: 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix
Sutil (deservedly) gets a 5-place penalty for his vicious block on Grosjean. He'll start last now.

Here gone from 4pm to 11am.
And, well it's a race without rain, so Williams have a clear shot.

I will be surprised if someone other than Mercedes wins.

For a track as boring as Bahrain, it should be an interesting race considering where Vettel will be starting. Though, it looks like Mercedes will most likely dominate the race again...

Vettel and Helmut Marko are two pricks who have shown numerous times that they have zero respect for the sport, team, and fellow drivers.
Now Vettel wants to obey team orders.....When they both crash out of the race, Ill be the only one laughing.
If Riccardo is so much better than Webber, why does he have 0 points?

Best race I've ever seen. Easily beats any race from 2013! Easily!
Great job from the Mercedes boys and how about Checo and Force India denying Sebastian Vettel Racing(sponsored by Red Bull) that final podium spot!

I don't know, mainly because it is expected out of those tracks. To be honest, I never had a thought in my mind that Bahrain would be that awesome! I still think this race was better!

Easily the best F1 race I've seen since Brazil 2008. Awesome racing. Reject of the race is hands down Maldolan. I'll give this a 9.0/10.

Re: 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix
Maldonado will get a 5 spot grid penalty for the Chinese Grand Prix. Before anyone thinks that's fair, Ricciardo got penalised 10 spots for a team error, that caused no harm to anyone.
Re: 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix
Not like Maldonado will even get out of Q1 regardless of penalty. Plus he had 3 penalty points added to his liscense so it was all they could do keeping true to their own regulations.Spannerhead29 (Nelson) wrote:Maldonado will get a 5 spot grid penalty for the Chinese Grand Prix. Re: 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix
In my opinion they should've done more than give him a 5-place grid penalty. A 10-place penalty would've been better.

The F1 bosses may finally consider increasing the noise of the cars, because of the amount of complaints about them being not loud enough.

Re: 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix
Hell it was good awareness on Riccardio's part to know the tire was coming off, Maldolan did his typical "Your not here LOL" move and sent someone rolling.Spannerhead29 (Nelson) wrote:Maldonado will get a 5 spot grid penalty for the Chinese Grand Prix. Awesome race. Great battle between Rosberg and Hammy at the end and lots of fun racing throughout the field.

That literally makes 0 sense lol
If Vettel truly had no respect for his fellow drivers, he would have ran Ricciardo off the road.

Force India on the podium, first time since 2009. Great job to them.

Reasons Why Ricciardo Is Better than Webber:
1. He doesn't whine at everything
2. He can actually start a race without losing 5 spots
3. He has shown he is much more on Vettel's pace than Webber ever was

Re: 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix
Can't believe Nico couldn't get around Lewis. Probably should've waited until after the backstraight, since all the defending was taking place from Turns 1 to 6. Those two are gonna wreck each other eventually. Good to see Perez on the podium again. All the Di Resta apologists are probably somewhere weeping right now. Just hope somebody can start challenging Mercedes for race wins, since that, after all, is the point of motorsport in the end.

Re: 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix
I caught the last 2/3s of this race and it was by far one of the most enjoyable F1 races I have ever seen. Really cool to see Force India competing for podiums too.
