Welp.... Rip Danica's chance of actually improving.
Knost sucked with Kurt and Danica, can't believe they stayed with him. In my honest opinion.

Baldwin may not run #36 full-time: Tommy Baldwin Racing may not field its familiar #36 Sprint Cup Chevrolet on a full-time basis in 2015, focusing instead on the team's #7 Chevy while forging a new partnership with Jay Robinson Racing to keep the #36 entry on track. Multiple sources tell GodfatherMotorsports.com that negotiations are underway to campaign the #36 under the Jay Robinson Racing banner in 2015, with TBR handling fabrication and preparation for the four restrictor plate races at Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway. That move, if finalized, will result in the layoff of approximately eight TBR employees, all of whom have been invited to apply for positions at JRR's facility on Rolling Hill Road in Mooresville, NC. Baldwin reportedly informed team personnel of the move Monday, saying the deal will be finalized later this week. Baldwin stressed today that he has no plans to sell TBR, and is speaking with a number of parties in an effort to improve the performance of the #36 team. Baldwin has made a total of 321 career Sprint Cup Series starts since becoming a team owner in 2009, with a best finish of third at Talladega in 2011 with driver Dave Blaney. Michael Annett ran the full, 36-race schedule in Baldwin's #7 Pilot/Flying J Chevy last season, finishing 32nd in championship points. He is expected to return in 2015. Reed Sorenson drove the #36 Chevy to 34th in the final standings.(Godfather Motorsports)(1-6-2015)

TL;DR Sounds like Tommy Baldwin will only run the #36 for the four restrictor-plate races this year, and Jay Robinson Racing/Identity Ventures/Premium Motorsports/Whatever the hell they're called this year will run the rest of the schedule.

Kwasniewski will only run part-time: Dylan Kwasniewski said he was fired up for the NASCAR XFINITY Series season, that he was eager to show what he could do in a car and on a team with a real chance to win every week. But the Las Vegan will have to share the #42 Chevy with Kyle Larson, last season's Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year. They are part of the newly formed one-car racing team of HScott Motorsports with Chip Ganassi. How Kwasniewski and Larson divide the car has not been determined. The season begins Feb. 21 at Daytona Beach, Fla., and Kwasniewski said he didn't know who would be behind the wheel when the series heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 7 for the Boyd Gaming 300. Even with the uncertainty, Kwasniewski didn't sound concerned about losing so much track time. "It's still a lot of races," he said. "I think we're going to have better results. You're running up front with the guys you're going to race for the rest of your life. I think that's better than running midpack." This is Kwasniewski's second season in the Xfinity Series, formerly known as Nationwide. He drove for Turner Scott Motorsports last year, but that team disbanded after a legal dispute between the owners. Harry Scott Jr. then united with Ganassi to form the current team. Funding allowed the team to run just one car, but Kwasniewski said logistics would make it difficult to operate a second Chevy on a full-time basis even if the money was there. "They're trying to put everything into one shop," he said.(Las Vegas Review-Journal)(1-8-2015)

So that means, Kwasniewski must of lost a big sponsor, maybe his only with Rockstar, and Parker Stone may be stepping up for both drivers in the 42. Also, he was way better 42 when Larson didn't race than the 31 all year...

That's because the 42 had support from Ganassi last year, but the other Turner Scott cars did not.

JR Motorsports forming Truck team; Custer to drive: JR Motorsports will expand into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for 10 races in 2015 with driver Cole Custer, general manager Kelley Earnhardt Miller announced. Custer, who turns 17 this month, became the youngest winner in NASCAR national touring series history last year with a truck series victory in only his seventh start. He and the #00 Chevy Silverado team will receive primary sponsorship from Haas Automation Inc., the largest CNC machine tool builder in North America. Haas Automation has sponsored Custer for four years. The company was founded in 1983 by industrialist Gene Haas, and it manufactures a complete line of vertical and horizontal machining centers, turning centers and rotary tables and indexers in the company's one million square-foot manufacturing facility in Oxnard, California. Distributed through a worldwide network of Haas Factory Outlets, Haas Automation provides the industry's best sales, service and support while offering unparalleled cost-to-performance value. Custer's trucks will be based out of a JR Motorsports satellite shop in Mooresville, North Carolina. Joe Shear, Jr., will serve as the team's crew chief. Shear Jr. was Custer's crew chief in 2014 when they competed in nine truck races with one win, two top-five and six top-10 finishes with two poles. Shear Jr. is a nine-time winner in the Camping World Truck Series. Custer's 10-race NCWTS schedule includes races at Martinsville Speedway (March 28), Dover International Speedway (May 29), Gateway Motorsports Park (June 13), Iowa Speedway (June 19), Eldora Speedway (July 22), Bristol Motor Speedway (Aug. 19), Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (Aug. 30), New Hampshire Motor Speedway (Sept. 26), Martinsville Speedway (Oct. 31) and Phoenix International Raceway (Nov. 13). In addition to NCWTS competition, JR Motorsports will field cars in select NASCAR K&N Pro Series and ARCA (Automobile Racing Club of America) events in 2015 as part of Custer's development. Specifics to Custer's schedule in those two series will be announced at a later date.(JR Motorsports)(1-12-2015)

Also..
Austin Theriault to run partial CWTS schedule: Austin Theriault has received an early birthday present. The race car driver, who will turn 21 on Jan. 23, will be making his debut in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for the NextEra Energy Resources 250 on Feb. 20 at Daytona International Speedway in Florida. Last season, Theriault landed a three-race deal in the Nationwide Series (now XFINITY Series) for JR Motorsports, Sprint Cup driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s team. The specifics of the deal have not been released, so Theriault couldn't divulge the details other than to say it is with an established team and it will be for several races. And he has been able to secure sponsorship. There will be 23 races in the Truck Series, and he said he has a "better than 50-50 chance" that his deal will allow him to run at least 10 races for his new team.(Bangor Daily News)(1-9-2015)

(So JRM is expanding) I'm happy about that Very Happy

Kurt Busch court hearing resumes: NASCAR driver #41-Kurt Busch is returning to court as a hearing resumes on his ex-girlfriend's request for a no-contact order. Patricia Driscoll claims that Busch assaulted her inside his motorhome at Dover International Speedway in September, and that she still fears for her safety.A Family Court hearing on Driscoll's request for a no-contact order was to resume Monday. Her claims are also subject to a separate criminal investigation. Busch's attorneys have denied the assault investigations and have tried to portray Driscoll as a scorned woman out to destroy Busch's career after he ended their relationship.(Associated Press)(1-2-2015)

Hate to say it, but Kurt's gotta be mentally unstable to think anyone would believe that. It's a shame. SHR looks a lot like a bad sitcom at this point.

It's been a rough year for the people who drove the #26 IndyCar last year. Drugs for one and domestic violence for the other.

I have to say I'm suspicious of Kurt. He has a history of anger management issues and his explanations are pretty bizarre.

Both look guilty to be honest, Driscolli's claims were pretty wild as well and it doesn't help that apparently a lot of people in the Indycar garage buy Kurt's argument that she's a looney.

Some potential new paint schemes for the 2015 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Included in the spoiler box are preliminary schemes for the #4, #6, #11, #16, and #41 cars.

Spoiler:

Personally, I especially love the new paint scheme on the #11. The purple looks very nice!

I'm digging that #4 Ditech car, that looks amazing. I guess Trevor's Advocare car looks okay to me, but I think that Hamlin's car from previous years looked much better than that one he's driving this year. The Cheez-It Biffle car looks pretty good as well, same with the #41 car. I like that there's more Red added to it because it looks more appealing.

#4 - Great scheme /terrible corporate colors 6/10
#6 - Holy Inconsistent Striping Batman! 3/10
#11 - not bad, but they overdid the purple, although compared to the #19 and #20 it's actually one of the better JGR Schemes Razz 7/10
#16 - I have yet to see a bad Cheez-it car. 8/10
#41 - It's ok, but I loved Last years scheme so much better - 6/10

Cole Whitt moves to Front Row Motorsports: Up-and-coming driver Cole Whitt will expand the Front Row Motorsports racing stable to three full-time cars in 2015, piloting the #35 Ford with support from Speed Stick for 10 races, including the season-opening Daytona 500. Randy Cox will also join the Front Row team to continue his relationship with Whitt as crew chief. The 23-year-old Whitt will enter his second full-time Sprint Cup Series season after progressively climbing the NASCAR racing ranks of the Nationwide, Camping World Truck and K&N series. The Alpine, Calif., native made his transition to stock cars after an early career in open-wheel racing, which included a 2008 USAC National Midget championship. Speed Stick is also on board to support Whitt during his sophomore season. Speed Stick®️, known for its line of high-performing antiperspirants and deodorants, previously sponsored Whitt during his rookie year and connected with fans by documenting the driver's first race at the Daytona 500 through a unique, online video series.Additional Speed Stick brand sponsored races this year will include high-profile events such as the Talladega Superspeedway race in May, the 600-mile event at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the Brickyard 400 at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and the Bristol Motor Speedway Night Race.(Front Row Motorsports), see earlier updates on Whitt to Front Row on the #26 team news page.(1-16-2015)

Very Happy Good for Cole, the 35 is way better than the 26, but he's got good teammates in Gilliland and Ragan, especially for drafting.

Say what you want but getting a winning veteran in Hornaday Jr. is a smart move for a rookie Cup team.

Problem is, Hornaday's prime was at minimum a good 5 years probably closer to 10 years ago. Granted it could have been a lot worse *cough DiBennedetto cough*, but still.....

Hornaday was good in trucks... I'd give him a shot, mostly because that team will likely blow their engine during practice, and withdraw, and Ron getiing the *exposure* gets a limited truck ride and someone else gets the car.

Brian claims it's the greatest Chase system ever in NASCAR. I'm sure quite a lot of people would intend to disagree with that statement.

It's funny how he thinks he's the greatest thing going for NASCAR, when in my view it's almost as if he's trying to drive the Sport to the ground.

This "real NASCAR fan" loves the new Chase. I'd bet there are more like me than you think.

I'm a real fan myself as well although I do prefer the old Chase System over this one, but each to their own I guess.

Michael Annett joins HScott Motorsports as second full-time driver:

HScott Motorsports enters the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) season with a new look as it expands to two cars. Justin Allgaier will return to the #51 BRANDT Chevy while Michael Annett joins the team and will drive a Chevrolet adorned by longtime anchor partner Pilot Flying J. "The addition of a second team increases HScott's overall ability to better utilize its resources at track and at the shop to be even more competitive," said team owner Harry Scott Jr. "I'm proud to have seen Justin truly mature as a NSCS driver last year, and I can't wait to see what he does this year. Like Justin, Michael is coming off his rookie year following six years of competition in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Michael is a quality driver with a great future at HScott Motorsports. These drivers compliment one another and will make great teammates."

"This is as excited as I've been for a new season, I can't wait to get to Daytona and fire the engines," said Allgaier. "I'm looking forward to carrying the momentum from the end of last season over to this year. Michael is a great addition to our organization and I'm glad to have a teammate to compete with each week."
BRANDT Professional Agriculture, a leading agriculture retailer and manufacturer of agricultural specialty products, returns as the primary sponsor of the #51 Chevy for 21 races, beginning with the Daytona 500 on February 22. Auto-Owners Insurance will also be the primary partner on the #51 for three races.

"Justin and the #51 team continue to be a great source of pride for BRANDT employees and customers, and we are all looking forward to a great 2015 season," said BRANDT President and CEO Rick Brandt. "I'm excited for the opportunity to drive for HScott Motorsports," said Annett. "I am impressed with the way Harry is building his NASCAR teams. Harry and competition director Steve Addington have a long-term vision and I'm honored to be part of it. I'm also looking forward to having Justin as a teammate." Pilot Flying J, the largest operator of travel retail centers, will be a primary partner on Annett's car. Other partners include Cypress Associates, Inc., Allstate Peterbilt Group and Northland Oil.(HScott Motorsports), no car number for Annett was announced. Annett drove the #7 Chevy for Tommy Baldwin Racing in 2014.(1-27-2015)

Alex Bowman to the Tommy Baldwin 7. Hopefully he can show more of the speed that he had in the past. I wonder who's left at this point for BK to hire...

Well at least I'll have a good reason to cheer for him at Talladega in the Golden Corral Car. The Jayski Copypasta Thread - Page 8 215644238
