The date for cars and ratings has been extended to the 16th March 2015, although I would really like to have them within the next week. As I said, I am happy to paint your car if you ask me to.
I'm still awaiting both cars and ratings for:
#27 Rafael Modena (VVV)
#28 Thomas De Bock (VVV)
#28 Benoit Voeckler (VVV)
#28 Giovanni Roda (VVV)
#888 Adilmar Caeteno Xairim (VVV)
#17 Haziyoki Kazayoshi (Nickpericles)
I'm still awaiting ratings for:
#2 Callum Morgan (Rykia)
That's now just one week remaining, if you're included in the list above please get at least your ratings in soon
If you are listed in the quote, you have until Saturday 12:00AM GMT.

Re: EuroV8 Cup
2015 season begins in Belgium
(OOC: Qualifying will be run tomorrow, race likely to be run on Tuesday/Wednesday. Bare this in mind if I still don't have ratings, your car, or both. If I am missing any of those two, your car won't be on the grid.
The inaugural EuroV8 Cup season kicked off on Friday evening in Belgium with Friday practice where 23 of the 29 entered cars took to the circuit.
Both Trueba cars of Rafael Modena and Thomas De Bock failed to take to the track for unspecified reasons, as was the same for Macanese Adilmar Caetano Xairim. The #27 of Modena was present in it's garage, while the De Bock and Caetano Xairim's cars are yet to be seen.
In similar news, the Ole Riders team have failed to show up to the circuit and are seemingly unlikely to race in Belgium with no known news since their planned entry in November. The final two entered cars which failed to take to the track were the two Rubidium Racing cars which both failed technical scrutineering although are expected to take part in both qualifying and the race over the weekend should they follow up on the track marshall's requests.
FIAM have seemingly taken an early hold on the race weekend, after successfully claiming 3 of the top 5 positions in free practice however drivers from both Kanako and STS did challenge throughout with Team Kwik Fit's James Burnley holding the lead for most of the session, while Greenflag STS's Callum Morgan was consistently towards the top end of the charts with a final position of 5th.
However, it was a surprise when German driver Viktoria Draachreider ended the session on top in her independent FIAM, outdoing all 4 of the works cars. While only just beating Dash Cup race-winner Franco Giovanardi by half a tenth of a second, she can be more than pleased with her result.
STS were the weakest of the main 3 manufacturers however, with only 3 cars in the Top 10. Both Marianna Palazzo and Brianna McDonough experienced mechanical gremlins early into the session with the former's session ending after just 10 minutes whilst McDonough did return to the circuit following a lengthy stop in the pits.

VIKTORIA ALL SMILES, CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON TO START
After a lackluster 2014 season, FIAM Scuderia Modena driver Viktoria Draachreider impressed a lot of the top brass by posting the fastest time in Friday practice. Viktoria was all smiles after the practice session.
VIKTORIA: I know it's just practice, but I'm really pleased with how the car is handling right now. I'm really looking forward to the race, and as the only German in the field, I've got to make my country and my brother [Erik] proud.

I didn't know the series had numberplates, now my car sticks out like a sore thumb... (I used the Dash Cup template minus that numberplate)
If it's not too late I'll change that before the second race.

The race is yet to be run, so it's possible to have it all set for Belgium Don't think I'll run the race until Wednesday or Thursday, so before then will be fine

I also just realized the difference in the template sizes. it's no big deal though.

Re: EuroV8 Cup
I would say that 4 or 5 minutes would work well for Q2 videos. If time constraints or something of that nature were to arise, then I would understand not having one made one for each race, but it's whatever you wish to do, of course! If I could make a suggestion, I would suggest aligning the graphics into one column to make them slightly easier to read, although that is a minor critique.
Otherwise, I really liked your Super Pole coverage! I think that the quick showcase of the drivers and the onboard analysis of the pole lap worked very well.

Re: EuroV8 Cup
- Spoiler:
- Strong Run for Perreault Thrown Away with 2 Laps to Go
French-Swiss driver Jean-Marc Perreault was ranked 3rd last year in the European Late Model Challenge, and the former Formula Gasnier driver has hit the ground running in the new EuroV8 Cup for 2015.
The Race of Belgium at the famed Spa-Francorchamps Circuit was Perreault's first start in the #3 car at FIAM Engineering, and he was the team's fastest driver all weekend. He started in 8th-place after setting the slowest time in Super Pole qualifying, but worked his way up into the 3rd position twice, once in the opening stages and again after losing ground in the pits midway through the event.
Perreault appeared to have the speed to get around 2nd-place-runner Franco Giovanardi with two laps to go, but followed the #9 Castrol Racing Team car too closely into Campus. Perreault made contact with Giovanardi and forced both cars into the gravel trap to the right of the racing surface. Giovanardi's car was destroyed in a collision with the tire barrier, and Perreault beached his own car in the gravel.
After both men appeared to be easily set to stand upon the podium, the accident caused Giovanardi to be scored in 20th while Perreault was 21st.

Re: EuroV8 Cup
- Spoiler:
- Hirate brings first victory for Kanako Automobilistics in the last 5 years
After the conclusion of the first round of the EuroV8 Cup, the Kanako executives and engineers were thrilled as Yuji Hirate, Independent driver got his first career win, and the first win for Kanako in any automobilistic competition in nearly 5 years, as the las Kanako car to finish a race in the top spot was in an Japanese SuperCar race in early 2010.
KwikFit Hannagan with solid results
The first race for the joint operation between Team Kwik Fit and Hannagan Enterprises ended better than expected. After early troubles for swedish Carl Andreasson and not the best of races for Sophia Anastasia, the two englishmen in the team, Dean Hillman and James Burnley brought home points results, finishing 5th and 8th, respectively.
"It was a good race, the car was just fine, but we know that is not enough, and we'll try to get our act together to win a race until the end of the year." - James Burnley
"The speed was there, I'm just kind of sad that the car wasn't fast enough for a podium, but it's a long season, we'll see what we can do." - Dean Hillman

Milano, whats the name of the the background song? I really liked it.
Schleir finishes mid pack, fairly quiet afterwards
"I really couldn't go anywhere after the initial burst. I guess I just out myself in some bad spots and payed the price at points, but you know what they say? We'll get them next week"

Re: EuroV8 Cup
No show Trueba Racing replaced by Lukoil Racing
Trueba Racing Team, who failed to appear on the grid at the Race of Belgium, have had their entrance revoked by organising body TCI Group after failing to pay their season's entrant fees. They join KQ Motor Sports, Ole Riders and Rubidium Racing in having their position on the entry list chalked off for the same reasons.
Scuderia Modena, who have already entered two cars in Viktoria Draachreider and Alessio Fabiani, will therefore field an additional two entries under the Lukoil Racing Team banner for Russian Viktor Ladygin and Italian Maurizio Menuzzo, who are both switching this season from the Russian Touring Car Championship. Both have had relative success in the RTCC with some victories where Scuderia Modena also ran them in Tolyatti's, again under the Lukoil Racing Team banner.
Trueba Racing Team are the only team thus far to have had their entry entirely replaced, while the other 4 open spots on the entry list still yet to be field. The TCI Group has stated that the entry process is still firmly open, but entrants will be moderated to avoid any further teams registering ghost cars into the series.
(OOC: If you wish to enter a team, PM me and I sort details out first)

- EuroV8 Cup:
- DRAACHREIDER TAKES CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD AFTER SOLID 4TH PLACE RUN
After back to back top fives to start the 2015 season, including a podium at Spa, German driver Viktoria Draachreider is now currently leading the EuroV8 Cup points standings, with 11 total points, one ahead of Spa winner Yuji Hirate and Yorkshire winner Franco Giovanardi. She also leads the Independents' Championship by 1 point.
VIKTORIA: I know my brother [Erik] is watching me over in the States, and I hope I'm doing him proud by leading the points, even though its early. Hopefully, a win will be coming soon for us.
She finished 4th at Yorkshire after starting from the 13th position.

Re: EuroV8 Cup
- 2015 Race of Yorkshire:
- Palazzo: "Wait and See"; Confident in STS
4 May 2015
Italian Marianna Palazzo was not able to repeat her European Late Model Challenge success from 2014 when the EuroV8 Cup paid a visit to the circuit yesterday for the Race of Yorkshire. The layout that was used may have been different than when Palazzo scored her first and thus far only career victory in the first of the ELMC's trio of races last season, but it appears that all three of the factory STS's for Greenflag Motor Assistance STS have been lacking in speed in the first two rounds of 2015, having no top 5 finishes.
Despite this, each of Palazzo's teammates, Callum Morgan and Mattais Schleir, have scored a single 6th-place finish, and Palazzo, herself, was the first car to finish outside of the points at Croft with a 9th-place finish. The driver of car #1 was quoted in a post-race press conference as saying that she is "not worrying of the results of this year", and also, "We are going to become better when we learn more to help. Wait and see, I know that we are going to finish better all the races!"
Palazzo has scored a top 10 finish in each of the EuroV8 Cup's two races. However, she has yet to score a point; only the top 8 drivers are awarded any.

AsiaV8 Cup planned for winter 2015
The Touring Car International Group (TCI Group) which organises and promotes the EuroV8 Cup and Auto3000 Series has announced plans for an Asian touring car series, the AsiaV8 Cup, to take place in the winter months of the 2015 and 2016 season.
In contrast to the EuroV8 Cup which is limited to the 4 established manufacturers of FIAM, STS, Kanako and Indama, the series will likely be open to manufactures of the EuroV8 Cup, the Dash Cup series which compete with similarly homologated chassis, as well as the Zhuhai and Maple manufacturers from the Chinese Touring Car Series.
The series is set to be contested between November and February when the European and American championships are in their off-season. The calendar is expected to include circuits from the Philippines, Thailand, Japan and China.
Indama announce will not contest the 2016 EuroV8 Cup series, 4th manufacturer position open to new manufactures
Malaysian-manufacturer Indama have officially announced that following what has so far been a disappointing season in the EuroV8 Cup, they will step down from the 4th manufacture entry in 2016 instead with an aim to focus on what will be the AsiaV8 Cup.
This leaves a position open either for a new manufacturer for the 2016 season to replace it, or for the TCI Group to open the limited registration of 8 cars per manufacture to 10 should the requirements not be met for a new manufacturer next season.
Indama has so far experienced a highly disappointing opening two rounds in which they have yet failed to score points with a best finish of 11th at the Race of Belgium at Spa. They have also failed to meet the EuroV8 Cup requirement of 8 cars sold, resulting in the TCI Group allowing them a concession of 4 cars which they have also failed to meet.
The next round of the EuroV8 Cup will be at Silverstone, with STS favourite after a disappointing round at Croft.

Re: EuroV8 Cup
Franz Kimmeleich takes impressive pole position at Silverstone
Kanako independent driver Franz Kimmeleich has secured his first pole position in only his second start of the season. Having joined the field at Croft, Kimmeleich had a strong start before dropping down the order to finish 21st but has proven himself following a strong qualifying session at Silverstone by taking pole from STS driver Mattais Schleir by 2 tenths.
Schleir, who will join him on the front row, has so far had an unimpressive season with only a best finish of 6th so far. Tanya Carter, so far STS' best driver this season, will be unsurprisingly on the 2nd row however will start 4th behind another newcomer in Russian Viktor Ladygin who is driving the Scuderia Modena-run Lukoil Racing FIAM. His team-mate, the highly experienced Maurizio Menuzzo, also made it to the Super Pole session but finished in 8th place by the end of Saturday.
Championship leader, Viktoria Draachreider, will start in 5th place while her closest rivals Yuji Hirate and Franco Giovanardi will start 6th and 18th respectively, the Italian having an awful qualifying missing out on Super Pole by 5 tenths of a second.
The Top 16 qualifying times are as follows:

- Post-Race Press Release:
- Perreault Claims Incident With Morgan Accidental
14 June 2015
While the headline story in the EuroV8 Cup this week is the dominating performance of Scuderia Modena driver Viktoria Draachreider in the Race of Nogaro, Jean-Marc Perreault and Callum Morgan are receiving attention for an accident that occurred on the fifth lap of the 35-lap race.
The contact that forced Morgan's car to spin into the turn 3 gravel trap appeared to be unusually avoidable, leading to suspicions that the collision was intentional. Morgan had forced Perreault's car partially off the track two laps earlier, and did so again when Perreault tried to make another pass to the inside of car #2 in turn 1, seconds before the crash.
The Swiss driver insisted, however, that the crash was unintentional. Following the race, Perreault spoke of the incident to the French press. His statement can be translated to the following; "I did not mean to hit the STS. I could not even tell who it's driver was; their cars look very alike. I thought that he would enter the turn more to the right than he did and I accidentally hit his car. Luckily my car was umdanaged and was just as fast for the remainder of the race."
After the crash, Perreault scored his second podium of the season with a third-place finish. After being freed from the gravel trap, Morgan would be involved in another accident in the same corner on lap 31 with Kwik Fit/Hannagan driver James Burnley. He would finish in the 22nd position.

Re: EuroV8 Cup
OOC: The #9 is a FIAM Engineering car entered under the Castrol Racing Team banner, so technically they are still one team anyway
- Spoiler:
- Perreault excluded from Nogaro race
Jean-Marc Perreault has been removed from the results following his controversial accident with STS factory driver Callum Morgan after a lengthy appeal from STS Racing. The penalty has also encompassed a further penalty directly levied upon FIAM with all manufacturer points attained at the Race of Nogaro to subsequently be removed from their point tally.
Despite both FIAM and Perreault protesting their innocence, the governing board finally came to the conclusion that the team were guilty of causing an avoidable incident which benefited in favour of FIAM Engineering to the detriment of STS, and as such the aforementioned penalties have been awarded to the guilty parties.
The TCI Group have placed both STS and FIAM, and their respected drivers, under probation until the conclusion of the season, with the teams warned that more severe punishments will be handed out should their be further controversial on-track spats between drivers of the two main manufacturers of the series.

Re: EuroV8 Cup
DRAACHREIDER CELEBRATES FIRST CAREER VICTORY IN DOMINATING FASHION AT NOGARO
It was a clean sweep for Scuderia Modena driver Viktoria Draachreider at Circuit Nogaro.
Starting with earning her first career Super Pole, Draachreider would dominate the entire race weekend by leading all 35 laps, winning by 1.6 seconds over championship rival Franco Giovanardi
VIKTORIA: This is just incredible. I can't believe what kind of car the team brought here this weekend. It was fun to drive, and we kicked some major butt today. The lapped cars were a bit of a pain, but we were able to get around them without too much trouble. The only downside is that my rival in the championship finished second, so I didn't gain as many points as I would've hoped, but I'm still happy about my first win. Hopefully, we'll win a few more before the season's over.
With her win, she strengthens her hold on the championship to 4 points over Giovanardi, while she increases her lead in the Independent's championship to 11 points over Yuji Hirate.

- Post-Race Press Release:
- Palazzo Celebrates Victory @ Circuit Thierry Sicotte
5 July 2015
Marianna Palazzo arrived in Bordeaux without a point to her name in the 2015 season of the EuroV8 Cup. Following the running of the Race of France, she will leave the city with a win.
Round 5 of the championship was held at the renowned Circuit Thierry Sicotte. The event was primarily fought among five contending drivers who pulled away from the rest of the field while staying close on each other's bumpers. Franco Giovanardi led the first 16 laps without a challenge from Palazzo as she ran in the runner-up position. However, coming to two laps to go, car #9 had to pit for fuel, allowing car #1 to assume the lead and go on to take the checkered flag. Interestingly, the teams of both Giovanardi and Palazzo - FIAM Engineering and Greenflag Motor Assistance STS, respectively - were placed on a season-long probation following Round 4 at Circuit de Nogaro, which resulted from a crash between drivers Callum Morgan and Jean-Marc Perreault.
The win is Palazzo's first in the EuroV8 Cup, and second if one includes her lone victory in the European Late Model Challenge, which came last year at Croft Circuit. With today's victory, the 23-year-old Italian becomes the first driver to win a race in both the ELMC and the EV8C.
Said Palazzo from atop the podium, "I am so happy to win the first race of STS! I love France and I love the circuit and it was a very great race! I want to thank Greenflag Motor Assistance because they asked me to race for them this year and they do a very fantastic work! I did know that the team was to win a race this year! This makes me very happy to be the winner!"
Prior to today, the best result for STS in 2015 was second, scored at Spa-Francorchamps by Englishwoman Tanya Carter for Carter STS Racing, as well as at Silverstone by Mattais Schleir of Austria, Palazzo's GMA STS teammate. Palazzo's best finish was a 9th-place that she acheived at Croft Circuit, where she won her only ELMC race in 2014. She had not scored a single point until this weekend, but has ensured her confidence in her team throughout the year. This weekend in Bordeaux, her confidence has been rewarded.
In two week's time, the EuroV8 Cup will return to England for a race at Brands Hatch in Kent, the sixth race of the season.

Re: EuroV8 Cup
DESPITE WORST FINISH OF THE SEASON, DRAACHREIDER EXTENDS HER LEAD AT SICOTTE
It may have been her worst finish of the season, but you know you're running good when it's a 6th place finish.
Viktoria Draachreider didn't have a very good Super Pole qualifying session, but she managed to salvage a 6th place effort at Circuit Thiery Sicotte, and with her main rivals not scoring points, including 2nd place man Franco Giovanardi, she extends her lead in the championship to 7 points. She is also the only driver left to have scored points in every race this season.

Re: EuroV8 Cup
Work has had me too busy really to get anything done. Hoping I can get the final 3 rounds recorded and posted soon, but here are Round 6-9:
- Results:
Round 6 - Brands Hatch
The only race I'm disappointed not to have posted really, Dean Hillman took pole from his Kanako team mate but both had problems in pitstops. The pitstops as a whole were quite hectic, with Amati emerging from the pit window in 1st after running in 6th for large amounts of the race.
Round 7 - Hungaroring
Round 8 - Brno
Round 9 - Merano

Re: EuroV8 Cup
Perreault Takes First Victory of 2015; Wins Gran Premio Merano
30 August 2015
2015 marks the first year in which the prestigious Gran Premio Merano weekend includes a touring car event, as the EuroV8 Cup joined the Auto300 Series at the Autodromo di Merano for the headline races of each of their seasons.
In the EuroV8 Cup, it would be (interestingly) an open-wheel veteran who would take victory in Jean-Marc Perreault of Lausanne, Switzerland. Perreault took the lead from Englishman and Greenflag STS racer Callum Morgan on lap 29 of the 50-lap race and would never look back, building an eight-second lead over Morgan during the remainder of the event and taking the checkered flag. Ironically, Perreault was excluded from the Race of Nogaro earlier in the year after spinning Morgan's car while the two drivers were racing for the fourth position.
Perreault's victory is the second in 2015 for FIAM Engineering, as Vittorio Amati scored a win in the Race of England at Brands Hatch. Originally scheduled to compete for the championship, Perreault has missed three races thus far after a mid-season offer from FIAM to replace Giuseppe Marchetti in the team's #15 entry in the Dash Cup Pirelli Super Touring Series.
After competing in six of the nine races that have been run at this point in the season, Perreault has scored 22 points, and sits seventh in the driver's championship standings.
