Some other updates to the entry list.

Bryan Silas will now drive the Roulo Brothers #17 car.

Mario Gosselin has merged his team with the #02 of Josh Williams. As a result, Gosselin will drive the #02 and the #39 he was originally listed in has withdrawn.

Well hell, no reject worthy paint schemes (not yet anyway). Of course thats the well funded teams, pretty sure we'll get the typical Arca paint schemes that look like some reject painter designed on NASCAR 09.

The #35 and #75 teams have both withdrawn due to not having drivers. Carter 2 Motorsports was also going to have another entry for Mark Meunier but were unable to field the car due to a theft at the team's shop resulting in the loss of multiple cars, engines, and other parts.

Re: ARCA Lucas Oil 200

Post by flyingturns89 on Fri Feb 14, 2014 10:59 pm

If you were hoping ARCA qualifying was going to be normal for once, you were wrong. Once again, a handful had their times removed, and for one of those drivers, they will be watching the race at home. Bobby Gerhart had the fastest lap, but was disallowed after a rear suspension problem was found in post-qualifying tech. Gerhart will now start 40th. Then Leilani Munter had a bad coil spring and got disallowed. And for a while, it seemed like qualifying was set, but then other cars got disallowed. Munter's teammate Justin Boston had a bad coil spring. A problem with the rear suspension sent Tyler Reddick to the back. And Spencer Gallagher received one of the worst penalties ARCA can hand out. Gallagher's car was found to have had an illegal mechanical lowering device, which reportedly would have given them a speed advantage. Therefore, ARCA disallowed Gallagher's time, and excluded him from the provisionals, automatically sending him home.

Meanwhile, the craziness in the inspection line overshadowed the new pole sitter, Dylan Kwasniewski in the Turner Scott Motorsports #4 car. Grant Enfinger will start next to Kwasniewski, while Buster Graham starts third.

It's also worth noting that Kody Weisner and Bobby Grewohl got bumped in by the disallowed times. Both would have failed to qualify other wise.

Not the best finish, but I'm fine with Grant Enfinger winning. Smile

For the second year in a row, a good finish and Bobby Gerhardt didn't win.

Decent race, but the finish left something to be desired. I don't know if it's the cars or the drivers not wanting to lose their position, but it seemed like no-one wanted to budge in the last 10 or so laps.

Goofy as hell race. But the finish was quite a downer compared to silliness of the rest of it, Seems like issues with the aero package

Good for Grant Enfinger though. He's a nice guy.

It seemed that the cars simply wouldn't suck up to one another. Notice the gap between all the cars coming to the checkered. I don't see anything wrong with a clean finish though.

I think the restrictor plates need some tweaks because it seemed like it took cars forever to suck up to another car.

Unpopular opinion here, I didn't mind the finish, granted I wanted Kimmel to win in the final laps, but I'm ok with Enfinger.

You can say they no ballsed the finish, but if you have an aero package as bad as that it's kind of hard to pass most of the time, let alone go two wide (It kind of fizzled out like a lap or so after the restarts.)

I was hoping Kwasniewski would win tbh. He seems like he has massive potential.

And I've just lost respect for the Roulo brothers, or David Roulo anyway. All this over contact that probably didn't actually happen or if it did, was minor and it wasn't even on the last lap. Seriously, who rages over a early race incident?

Chase for sure ran him over. Apparently Chase was acting like a d-bag after the race to the team as well.

A lot of unknown drivers and back markers had good days today. Derrick Lancaster in the #56 scored 13th in what may be his only race this year, Barry Fitzgerald in Wayne Peterson's #0 car scoring 19th, and of course Sean Corr's top 10 finish in James Hylton's #48.
