With Betty Cox out, Jennifer Duke to take sole ownership of the team, renaming it Duke's Racing. Number to remain as is the sponsor. Will compete in the NPCC Super Pro Series

"We didn't have the greatest of seasons last season and as a result Betty left and gave me her portion of the team. She was fed up and wanted out. She had her expectations, and for her, they weren't met. I plan on staying as long as the series remains. I had a lot of fun despite the struggles. Oh, and we are working with Lenard Engine Development to see what we can do about our engine package due to us not being all that competitive last year". - Jennifer Duke

Angelina Hawk's and Brigitte Dusablon's plans still TBA.

Wood Closes Inaugural NPCC Season with a Top 10 @ Irwindale

The debut season for the National Pro Cup Championship came to a close on Saturday with the running of the Mountain Dew California 300.

Aubrey Wood would bring home a 9th-place finish to close out her first NPCC season. The 22-year-old from Flint, Michigan ran in the midfield for most of the 300-lap event, but was fast enough to transfer into the second of the race's three 100-lap segments, and eventually the final 100-lap shootout. Her final segment got off to a very poor start, as she was involved in the second caution of the race on lap 202. While the left-side and rear of her car suffered significant damage, it was not severe enough to slow her down, as she spent the remainder of the race working her way forward. By the time the checkered flag fell, the #13 Lenard Q9 was scored in the ninth position.

Aubrey Wood: I wasn't trying to hang back or anything, I just wasn't very fast for the first 200 laps. As soon as I started segment 3 I got spun out of nowhere! And I thought that we were hurting pretty bad but my crew told me 'it was fine' and to keep driving. I remember how well the Ohio race went for me after we got caught in a crash, and then I actually got pretty excited! 'Maaaybe I can do it again!' And the car felt awesome after that! I know I never got to win a race, but a 9th-place is a good finish for me to get tonight, and now I'll be waiting for the racing season to start again next year!

Wood finishes her 24-race NPCC season with four top 5 finishes, an impressive thirteen top 10's, and a best finish of 3rd (which came at the Ohio Motor Speedway in the 18th race of the year). Focus Autosports, citing extensive budget deficits and dissatisfaction with series management, will not be returning to the series next season.

Slight change of plans.

I've decided to turn the Sportsman Series into the Super Late Model Series, which will run the Outlaw Late Model mod that I'm sure everyone here is familiar with, and it will be moved up to #2 in the pecking order. The Late Models will become NPCC's #3 division.

Caldwell Midwest Racing shuts down; Caldwell to APRS
Caldwell Midwest Racing, which funded the unsponsored No. 90 car for Andrea-Lynn Caldwell last season, announced it would not return for 2015 due to lack of funding.

"We barely had enough money to make the full season this past year," team head Darren Caldwell said. "We couldn't do it again. So we sold off all our stuff, and we're still in the red."

As for Caldwell's daughter Andrea-Lynn, she won't be without a ride next season.

"I'm off to APRS," she said. "I have a deal lined up. I can't say anything else at the moment, but I'm excited for the opportunity."

Angelina Hawk plans on running full-time in NPCC Super Pro Series while Brigitte Dusablon to run another part-time season in the Super Series. No changes are expected with either team.

I've decided to scrap using the Fujita mod, so the Super Pro Series will be using the Outlaw mod instead, and there will be just two series instead of three, to make things easier on myself.

Are you still planning on running at Bethesdaring?

Also, there is a ride in the Late Model class if anyone would like me to "hire" their driver for the car. I will give it a time (few days, weeks, or a month, whatever's my pleasure), and then I will go ahead and make up a driver to put in the ride.

FIAM set to enter one Super Pro series car in 2015
Italian manufacturers have plans to fund a full season effort for Rossini Sport to enter young Italian driver Giancarlo Corelli.

Having contested the early stages of the 2014 NPCC season before withdrawing by Rossini Sport after struggling to find funds for the extensive calendar, the Italian plans to make a return to the championship now with full FIAM backing with FIAM title sponsor, Beta Tools, set to come on-board to sponsor the #7 car.

The Italian, also contesting the inaugural season of the EuroV8 Cup, will only be contesting the road course rounds in the season while driving a FIAM-engined Lenard.

(OOC: Should I add this to the Wiki or is Packer doing that?)

The deadline for the Super Pro Series cars has been extended to February 14, 2015.

I do think that it's regardless of manufacturer, so you could do the model of your preference, using both 2012 or 2013 templates, but that's up to Packer.

Yes, you can.

Head over to the Request section and post your request, and someone will come along and help you out.

Just be sure to use the request template that's provided so that the painters will have a general idea of what to paint.

Major announcement.

As you can probably tell by the name change, I've decided to give the league a massive facelift, because I've come to the conclusion that running a national touring late model series just isn't cutting the mustard, considering the lack of attention the series seems to be getting and the surplus of national series that are already in the canon. Plus, I really don't have the time to be running all the races scheduled.

Therefore, the schedule will now consist of 12 races, and will be based in the Ohio Valley region of the U.S., which was my original intention, and looking back in retrospect, it's probably what I should've gone with.

So, this league will now be a regional series in the TM Canon, and will still run the Outlaw mod (obviously). I'll make some small adjustments to the ratings system, but those of you who have already sent in ratings don't have to worry about it.

In addition, the entry list will remain the same, and entries in the late models will be moved up to the Buckeye entry list, but this list is by no means final, so feel free to edit it at your leisure. In addition, everybody is now allowed to have up to four cars in the series. Also, part-time entries are still allowed up to five races, but since the schedule will change, you will be allowed to edit the races you want to enter.

Finally, I've decided to give a little more time to get your stuff in, so all cars will be due by Midnight on April 4th.

I've been feeling the itch to bring this series back into action, and since Columbus Motor Speedway for NR2003 is nearing completion, I feel motivated to get this series back on track. I'm also considering adding two new divisions to the mix, one that uses the 4-cylinder hornets and one that will use the new Muscle Body Late Model mod. I'm also giving the organization as a whole a new name.

RACE 3: MIDVALE

In a race that went caution free, Lucy Barnton, former two-time champion Brad Brinkley and Moore would battle for the lead for most of the event. Brinkley led 53 of 75 laps, but it was ultimately Moore who won the battle, scoring back-to-back victories. It would mark his 35th and final Super Pro victory.

RACE 4: BELLE ISLE

In what could be described as the greatest chase in BAAR history, Star Banner, the defending winner of Belle Isle, would stalk Dan Moore, who had won the pole and was going for a three-peat, for most of the 27 lap event. Then, with 5 laps to go, the veteran stumbled, crashing into the turn 3 tires and giving the lead to Banner, who won last year's event in a similar manner. Banner was uncontested the rest of the way, winning by over 7 seconds and scoring her 5th career Super Pro win.

Unfortunately for Moore and Banner, both would fall out of this event relatively early. Moore led the first 12 laps from the pole until he crashed out on Lap 38. Ashley Elliott took the lead from Moore on Lap 13 and would be unchallenged the rest of the way, leading the final 63 laps en route to her maiden Super Pro victory.

In one of the most crash-filled events of the year, Swedish driver Felix Adelhart looked on his way to victory after leading 51 laps, but saw his chance for victory taken away after a flat tire late in the race. RACE 7: 19TH OHIO 250

After 16 runnings of the race at the Ohio Motor Speedway, 2015 marked the first time that BAAR's most prestigious race would be held on the 1/3 mile Columbus Motor Speedway. It would also be the first time that a foreign-born driver would go to victory lane. It what could be considered somewhat of an upset, Bullhorn Racing's Kody Gleason would come alive in the final segment of the race, leading the final 56 laps to score what could be considered his biggest career victory, and also his first in the BAAR Super Pro Series, catapulting him from 11th to 3rd in the standings. Buddy Swanson would also take over the points lead from Dan Moore with his runner-up finish.

After enduring what could be considered the worst season of his entire career, Brad Brinkley finally broke through, leading all 75 laps after passing polesitter Robert Burton on the opening lap to earn his first win of the season, as well as his 16th of his career.

RACE 9: WINCHESTER

Only slightly more than half the field finished what many consider to be the crashiest race of the season, with 8 cautions totaling 36 laps. Nate Patrick led a Red Bull Autosport 1-2, finishing 1.2 seconds ahead of teammate Erik Draachreider. Felix Adelhart would once again see a chance a victory go away late, this time because of a loose tie rod after leading 65 of 75 laps. With one race to go, Buddy Swanson leads Dan Moore by a mere 4 points. 14 drivers are still mathematically eligible to win the championship.

FINAL RACE: GRAND DETOUR

It was one of the most uneventful races in Grand Detour history, until the last few laps. Valorie Forge dominated from the pole, leading 147 of 150 laps. But, she was receiving a challenge from Angelina Hawk. The two swapped the lead back and forth several times. Coming to the final caution with 7 laps to go, Forge beat Hawk to the line by 0.007 seconds. There would be enough time for a one lap shootout. Forge would appear to have things in hand, but she would slide up and hit the wall in turns 3 and 4, opening the door for Hawk to sneak through and score one of the biggest upset victories in BAAR history, winning the Super Pro Championship 150 with a last lap pass. However, it wasn't quite enough to overtake Dan Moore, who would win his fourth Super Pro championship in his final season of competition, beating Hawk by a mere 8 points. Swanson would come home a disappointing 3rd in the championship after an accident caused his to finish 6 laps down in 16th place.

I think I've found a desire to run this series for real again, so sign-ups are officially open for 2016. Super Pro will remain unchanged. I will also take entries for any interested parties in the Pro Lite Series, which will use the Muscle Late Model mod. I'll have more information later.

Also, if you submitted a car for the 2015 season and you want to keep the car and driver the same for this season, or if you want to keep the car but make driver changes, let me know.

RED BULL AUTOSPORT SIGNS FORMER CHAMPIONS, INTERESTED IN SIGNING HAWK AFTER HER BREAKOUT SEASON

With Erik Draachreider and Felix Adelhart moving up to drive for Red Bull Autosport in the AmeriCar Road Racing Championship, and after releasing Nate Patrick after a subpar season despite him winning at Winchester, RBR had three seats to fill in the BAAR Super Pro Series. Two of those seats will be filled by former Super Pro champions Frank Deiny, Jr, statistically the greatest driver in Super Pro history, who had a subpar 2015 by his standards, and Brad Brinkley, who had his worst season ever in 2015. Both will be driving 11 and 66, respectively.

For the #1 seat, RBA is interested in signing Angelina Hawk, who in spite of her fielding her own car with no sponsorship, finished a mere 8 points from winning the 2015 championship after winning the finale at Grand Detour. No word as of yet if Hawk will accept the deal.
