The Truck series shows up at Talladega for the second  (and final) superspeedway race of the season.

Entry List here
Parker Kligerman returns to the Truck series in the #20 BRG Motorsports entry, Mason Mingus makes his first attempt in the Truck series, and Clay Greenfield is sponsored by a website that doesn't exist. There is only one cup driver in the field, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who it is.

right, because every Superspeedway finish needs a last lap pass.

I do want the trucks to finish under green for once. It's been like 2 years or more since they've had a green finish on a superspeedway.

I understand that, but to say a superspeedway race will have (or had a boring finish) is something that's becoming too much of big deal when in reality it shouldn't be.

Totally Ron Hornaday's fault, he could've backed off a little bit to avoid that avoidable crash.

That's why Dega and Daytona aren't real racing.

Could've had a nice 3 wide battle for the end but everything went to hell in a handbasket and gave Sauter the win. David Starr 2nd...When's the last time you heard that. Your typical Dega stuff pretty much.

Something irks me though.

The crashes make for nice highlight reel videos as long as no one gets hurt, but you can't tell me that's right when someone wrecks, and 20 drivers and teams have to be punished for it

These races are better than 1/3 of the cup schedule (Crappie cookie-cutter tracks that have 0 interest). As long no one gets hurt.

Congrats to Sauter, but I wish it wouldn't have ended like that. Always the same with these giant wrecks at the end of NASCAR plate races.

Great race in my opinion. Plate races are always wildcards where you get to see some underdogs running well, and today was no different. David Starr finishes second, Timmy Hill sixth, Norm Benning 12th, Clay Greenfield 13th, and Chris Fontaine 15th. Only problem is another race where almost no cars made it to the end without damage.

They might be better to watch, but when someone spins, and odds are, 10-20 cars/trucks get damaged, something is wrong. Like I said, if all come out of it ok, the wrecks make interesting highlight reel videos, but there has to be a better way

Apparently Justin Lofton went to the hospital yesterday after being involved in two crashes. Lofton has a fractured left thumb, but has been released from the hospital.

That was a nasty hit for Kyle on a bare concrete wall. Why they always wait for someone to hit a wall before they add a SAFER barrier, I'd really like to know. Thank goodness everyone's relatively okay.

That aside, it was really cool to watch them race 3-wide for the last lap and a half, I really wasn't expecting it to last that long. It's a shame it all went to pieces at the finish again.

For better or for worse, the truck race played out exactly how I expected it to. I didn't have the sound turned on for this race, because Petit Le Mans was on and I can't stand Michael Waltrip's voice.

That would of been the finish of the year if it wasn't for Jeb and Paludo. I just loved how Crafton shoved it in reverse and slammed the accelerator. He can top 10 the championship to death. Only way he can lose it with getting 4 top 10s is finishing 10th (without leading a lap) and Buescher winning all races with full points.
