Leo Hindery, the former YES Network executive and retired racer who first announced the race in October 2011, told The Star-Ledger that he has signed a new contract with F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone, who had dissolved their original agreement last fall after Hindery’s group could not meet its obligations under the prior deal.
In addition to having a new contract, Hindery said this week that his race has all the necessary local permits, and has 31 contractors at work on the course and other race preparations.

Austin's is $592, at least that's what I gathered from the comments. It's also supposedly for a three-day pass, so that makes a little more sense.

Also, the most expensive ticket is $4,200, so that will skew the average a tad.

You could easily watch an entire season's worth of racing for that much, or even go racing for $4,200!

When you consider I had to pay $5,250 for a paddock pass to Monza, and that the average ticket pricing at Monza is $700, then the price in New Jersey really isn't a great deal of money.

No matter how you look at it, that's an insane amount to pay for a ticket to any single event, at least to me.

Well if you want to consider the cheapest option (General admission-there are some viewing spots in the inside of the circuit) then you pay $150 for a weekend, $135 for a Sunday, $100 for the Saturday and $75 on the Friday (which to me is always the best day to go). These are based on Monza track pricing, so imagine around $5-10 less and you would have affordable tickets. A Friday session would cost about the same amount as a computer game, so it's well worth going-much more on track racing and you get a few support races in as well, plus drivers are much more open to spectators as well.
