NASCAR Nationwide Series - Feed The Children 300 - Kentucky Speedway
The NASCAR Nationwide Series heads to the Bluegrass State of Kentucky. This race has become known as an equalizer for the little guys as it tends to come down to fuel mileage a lot. We've seen surprise winners such as David Gilliland and Stephen Leicht here. Last year, Austin Dillon swept by winning both Kentucky races. Can he do it again or will the usuals like Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch spoil the party.
Surprise entries in this race include NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver, Matt Crafton in the RCR #33, Bryan Silas in the Go Green Racing #79 and Derrike Cope in his own #73 Chevy.
The forecast currently looks good for Nationwide with a 0% chance of rain. Not the same for the Truck and Cup Series though: http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/united-states/kentucky/sparta

This race...
Also, that grandstand looks pretty empty.
Can't say I'm surprised.

I don't understand how this place got a date for the Cup Series. Barely anyone cares to attend these races and that happened before the traffic fiasco in 2011. Kentucky is an extremely boring track as well.

I know people in the sport will be upset w/me for tweeting this, but maybe the smallest Nationwide crowd I've ever seen at a 1.5-mile track.
We need to take away Kentucky's Cup date and give it to a deserving track like Iowa or Road America.

this would be an excellent time for a pillow company to start advertising right now.

Noticed that on Regan Smith's car the roof number is rotated 180 degrees from how most cars have them. Didn't know NASCAR allowed teams to do that.

Re: NASCAR Nationwide Series - Feed The Children 300 - Kentucky Speedway
You would think that they would have a quality track in Kentucky of all places. Yesterday's Truck race was pretty decent in my books. I just hope that the Gen 6 car will produce a much better race, almost like what happened at Las Vegas, as both of those tracks are sort of similar.
Re: NASCAR Nationwide Series - Feed The Children 300 - Kentucky Speedway
I for one welcome our cuppie overlords...oh wait its been like this forever. Not too excited for the nationwide series anymore. Or NASCAR really. I like Brad but wouldn't it be way better if it was Sadler, Crafton and Vickers were the ones racing for the win?

I believe Brett Moffitt's #13 truck had the roof number like that in yesterday's race, too, but I've never seen it at all before this weekend.Rykia_RKXK wrote:Noticed that on Regan Smith's car the roof number is rotated 180 degrees from how most cars have them.
