You are more than encouraged to post your own rumors, even if they have absolutely no factual basis! Remember, if I don't know you have a driver that wants in, they won't get in! The ASCC minimum driver age is 18. Drivers who are U.S. military veterans will carry a special decal, but I don't expect too many of those, so don't worry about it. I would prefer American drivers only, since every single race will be in the United States.

This is a good category for some of the 'good ol' boys'. Signups for this series will be similar to TM Lights, but I haven't opened them yet.

Not sure how many cars will run in this series.

Richardson hoping to return to Southern Motorsports?

While it hasn't been confirmed by the team, Richardson hopes to return to Southern Motorsports for 2013. Richardson's 2012 season was rather dismal besides his win at Houston late in the season.

"Last season wasn't good on us, but I hope God puts me in the right direction and win a championship for the Southern Motorsports crew."

Regardless on where he goes, US Navy will stay with him for as long as he is racing.

Team CTR To Expand, Olenick to Return

Team CTR is planning on expanding its ASCC operation to a two-car team. The team, which is switching to Lenard in the offseason, will continue to field the #5 for Connecticut native Joe Olenick. Olenick will look to improve upon a two-win season and once again contend for the title.

There is no word on who the second driver will be, but the team is reportedly very interested in signing former TM Master Cup driver Tom Delgado. Olenick stated on his Twitter account that CTR "would be wise" to offer Delgado a ride.

Power Surge America Will Return

PSA will return intact for the 2013 ASCC season. Because of their parent company's association with Lycoia Motors, PSA will run the Lycoia/Lenard chassis they select.

PSA would also like to acquire the #24 if it were to come available for Jim Kidd. If not, Kidd will stay with his traditional #18.

Personal Trainer to Race in ASCC?
California native and personal trainer Ken Stevens, Jr. has surprised many by announcing that he is interested in forging a new career in stock car racing. Stevens claims that he intends to challenge the supposed stereotype that stock car drivers are not as athletic and fit as other athletes.

"I've always loved racing, and I want to prove to the world that it takes true stamina, strength, and determination to pilot one of these muscle cars. I'm hoping my image will raise awareness to the abilities of a stock car driver, and I'm hoping to have the support of my fans from my strength training and workout programs as I take this exciting new step in my life."

Stevens, Jr. is not currently signed to any team, but rumors state that he may either join an existing team or join with Maryland-based late model team Dennis Marquis Motorsports. It is also believed that he could be bringing along sponsorship from one of his current endorsement deals, 5 Hour Energy, and would appropriately run a car numbered 5 or 55.

Lester unsure of 2013 plans, hopes to return to ASCC or go to TM Lights

For the people with really good memories, remember the 2011 VSCC season? Casey Lester was set to drive the #00 Dawgfather's CM Nova(?) for Shane Lake's old team in that series, but it folded soon after the 6th or 7th round. In 2012, ironically, he was set to drive the #00 Cialis Lenard for Bill Chapman Motorsports... until the number was changed to 26 to accompany Aaron Collins' #28.

Lester remembers those days, but not without regret. "Yeah, I remember back then." he said. "Shane was one of the people who I thought I could work with long-term. Then he left racing for a while to focus on the business and other stuff, so I found a few new friendships with the Great Lakes, Patterson and SuperCharged guys since he was gone. I really have to make up my mind sometime soon on what to do for this season."

Unsure of his plans, Lester is hoping that Chapman will retain him for 2013.

Power Surge America Extends Invitation To Delgado

PSA owner William Power has made a very public offer to Tom Delgado-- "Come here and we'll field a 3rd car for you. PSI/PSA has won the TM Lights and ARLA championships and won some races in this series and Jim Kidd contended for the championship in the ASCC up until the final weekend. I think if Tom joins our team, he'd have a good shot at accomplishing his ultimate goal. We offered to field a car for him to defend his win at Michigan last year during the boycott."

Spoiler:

"It'd be great to have a driver of his caliber here. All he'd have to do is concentrate on driving. I'd like to see what Tom is capable of when his focus is strictly on winning races. If he's healthy and feeling up to it, we'd love to give it a shot. It'd be cool to work with him. I hope he gives PSA some strong consideration."

McLaw Wants to Return

Aaron McLaw, driver of the #20 Lenard, said he would like to return to the series. McLaw states that he would like to return to the #20, but if he is not re-signed, he would like to land in another ride in the series. McLaw said, "The ASCC has the most talented drivers of any series in it. If I'm not driving in it, I'll be missing out. Hopefully the team re-signs me because I liked working with them. At least I hope I end up somewhere."

Lycoia to replace Lenard as primary chassis supplier for the ASCC?

While press releases from the company itself would spark rumors of this being a possiblity. It is highly unlikely what the officials or Lenard will do with responding to the rumors. Lycoia has apparently been sensationalizing it's possible attempts to enter the series, but for now, nothing can be confirmed or denied. It is not known if the Interceptor will even be allowed to be a allowed chassis for the main season or one-off events.

Accelerator Motorsports to return?

It seems that interest for the team to return has grown. Calvin Hobbes is slated to return with the number 96 and he has reached out to A.J. Murphy to return if he wishes to do so.

"If we are able to run with the Lycoia Interceptor, I think our team will probably be using the Phoenix Performance scheme that [Greg] Woodard ran in the TMMC last year." Hobbes told reporters. "Don't know if our team will change names though."

Another rumored driver is Shawn Lake, who is the owner of Dawgfather's Bar and Grill. However, this is yet to be confirmed or denied by any party involved.

Tim Woodard looking for a ride in 2014?

With Woodard's chances of being retained by Ocean Team Lenard fading fast, albeit, via his own actions. It seems that the Texan is looking for a ride with any team that runs SAAR. While no opportunities have sprung up, he is hoping that he can prove himself somewhere in a major motorsports series.

Anderson Looking to Return to ASCC

Seth Anderson, who ran the majority of the season in the Jack Cronin 89 in 2012, has reportedly been looking to return to the ASCC in 2013. It is not known where he will be in 2013, but he has announced he is looking and is open to offers.

Wineburg Hopes to Return to McDermott Motorsports; Has Associate Sponsor

Lenny Wineburg who ran in his rookie season in the ASCC for McDermott Motorsports is looking to return to the series and team after a lackluster season.

"The season didn't go exactly as planned. We didn't have the speed all that often but we had some good runs. I really would like to return to the team. They are a great group of guys and they know what they are doing. They are a pleasure to be around at the track."

Word is Wineburg also brings an associate sponsor to the table this year from Bottom Dollar Food. A grocery store chain across a total of five states, primarily in the state of Pennsylvania.

Pastor Alan McAvoy to Enter ASCC?

Alan McAvoy, a Pastor at an Evangelical Church in Syracuse, New York is hoping to join the ASCC either with his own team or possibly even joining a team such as Christian American Motorsports. McAvoy is a very controversial person as he brings sponsorship funding from Heineken and as previously stated is a Pastor. McAvoy also prefers to race with a large "Racing with Jesus" decal on his car.

Collins hoping to return with Bill Barclay for 2013

After being a major contender for the 2012 American Stock Car Championship, Aaron Collins said that he hopes he's more than likely to return to Bill Barclay Motorsports for the 2013 Season, "I generally believe that we can come back strong in 2013 and contend for the championship again. We were in prime position to win the Championship at Atlanta, but it was a cut tire that cost us a chance at taking the title. I've been able to prove that I was no fluke when I stepped into the No.28 McDonalds Bolden, I will come back just as strong as ever in 2013 and hopefully become a major title contender again."

Raynor to return to ASCC in 2013

Harry Raynor has confirmed his interest in returning to the ASCC. He said, while opening a beer, "Yeah, this ASCC stuff was good, I'd do it again."

It is unconfirmed what beer Raynor was drinking, but he said that he would like to return to Greg Whittaker Racing if they were to have him back, and he said he would try to find sponsorship this time around to fund the project a bit more.

Olenick to Change Numbers?

Joe Olenick, one of the ASCC's rising stars, has indicated that he wishes to change his number for the 2013 Wrangler Cup Series season. Although he is known for driving car #23 in multiple series, Olenick stated that he wants to use number 26 in the upcoming season. The number is currently being used by Bill Chapman's team.

The reason for the change? The events of December 14, 2012 in Newtown, CT. Sandy Hook Elementary School is less than half an hour from Team CTR's primary shop, and in a joint-press release, the team and Olenick had this to say:

"What happened in Newtown has deeply affected all of us. We at Team CTR want to carry on the memory of the 26 people, most of whom were young children, who senselessly lost their lives that day. We want nothing more than to honor them and to show that this community will rise again from this unspeakable act of horror."

The team noted that if the number change was not granted, they will continue to use number 5.

Team CTR Extends an Offer to Delgado

Not to be outdone by PSA and William Power, Team CTR principal Tom Bennett publicly extended an offer to former TM Master Cup driver Tom Delgado. "Look, we might not have the PSI name, but we have been hugely successful in the past year. We're only going to get better, and we would want nothing more than the American Devil himself to help us do that."

When asked about Delgado's health issues, Bennett shrugged it off. "The man can drive, and that's my primary concern. I think without the stress of trying to prove himself and act as an owner-driver, Tom will thrive in this series. I just hope he wants to thrive with us, and not against us."

Thomas Franklin Looking for an ASCC Ride

Thomas Franklin, who got his name out into the racing world by running the 2012 RROL Elite Series, has made it known that he is seeking to move to the American Stock Car Championship. The Salt Lake City native began his racing career at Rocky Mountain state short tracks before testing with Peter Dennis Racing. The team officials were impressed and he spent 2012 in the RROL.
"Last year I learned how to race. I feel that with experiance under my belt I can do great things in the ASCC" Franklin said.
Franklin would run with a veteran decal, as he served in the United States Air Force for a number of years. During his time there he was based at Wright Patterson Air Force base and at one point did a flyover for a race in Indianapolis. Franklin inked a major sponsorship deal with the United States Air Force and is reportedly in talks with Lockheed Martin.
"I can't wait to get on the track. A couple of years ago I would have never imagined I was coming off a full pro racing season and looking to the ASCC next. It'll be tough running against guys like Tony Durbin and Lorne Roth. But I know I'm up to the challenge."

Nash to Return to ASCC Competition in 2013

It was speculated with about 3 races left in the season that Thomas Nash, owner and driver of the #7 Quaker State Bolden Chaser would return to the Goodyear Presents the ASCC Wrangler Cup Series in 2013. This was officially confirmed by Nash earlier today before leaving the Atlanta Motor Speedway, site of the 2012 season finale Lenard 225.

"Well, you guys know it's been a difficult year for us. We've definitely grown up as an organization. That's why I feel that we are ready to return to the series in 2013. The ASCC is a great series, and it really brings out the American Patriot and the competitor. Quaker State, Bolden, and our #7 will return next year, pending any changes by series officials. We are also seeking several associate sponsors for our team. We are not in a dire financial situation, but I would like to have more decals on the side of our car for next year," stated Nash at his motorcoach.

Nash, 31, hails from Houston, Texas, which he confessed is a major factor in acquiring sponsorship.

"Yeah, we would like to have various Texas sponsors with us, or regional sponsors, too, but we're open to anything at the moment, seeing as how every little bit of sponsorship helps. We've been in talks with several companies, and I can't wait to get back with them before the season starts."

Finally, Nash commented on what he plans to do with the car for the 2013 season.

"We had several ups-and-downs at the speedway tracks. We could never hit the ball square with our setups. I think the guys finally found the key to success towards the latter part of the year, which is evident in some of our most recent finishes. We do look to improve upon our engine program and to somehow improve on our chassis as a whole. I think 2013 will be a great year for Nash Motorsports."

Astro Racing seeking new driver

Astro Racing enjoyed a significant amount of screentime in the 2012 season, as their #05 Lenard with Aaron Cruise behind the wheel interfered with the leaders in several races. However, Cruise has left the team to drive the Math Motors #i car in ARLA, leaving team owner Carl Stoddard scrambling to find a new driver.

Two days ago, Stoddard posted the following ad on Craigslist:

RACE TEAM LOOKING FOR DRIVER

american stock car championship team astro racing is looking ofr a driver for the upcoming season. guaranteed tv time, meet lots of famous american drivers

if interested call [number withheld] or email at [address withheld]

Stoddard claims that the ad has already received several responses, but "most of them were from guys who wanted me to meet them in an alley naked and wearing a leather mask. I guess I should have said 'serious inquiries only'."

Delgado Still Fielding Offers for 2013, Has Not Made Decision Yet

In a radio interview yesterday, Tom Delgado provided his fans an update on his situation for 2013, saying that he has not signed a deal with any team yet despite having discussions with numerous teams.

"I've had talks with Power Surge America, Team CTR, and a few others that I won't name, but no deal has been reached with anyone just yet. Everyone knows that I'm looking to join a team capable of winning the ASCC championship. Has that scared off any potential interest? Maybe, but that's the price I'm willing to pay to get with a quality team for 2013. I'm not coming to ASCC to run in the midfield or in the back. I'm coming to ASCC to win races and win championships" Delgado said when asked about his status.

Clapprood Motorsports to Enter ASCC in 2013?

Levi Clapprood, owner of Clapprood Motorsports, hopes to bring his team up the rankings of motorsports and compete full-time in the ASCC in 2013. Clapprood brings along sponsorship from C-Town Supermarkets and Nexium. Clapprood is trying to do something that is almost unheard of in professional motorsports - be an openly gay driver. The ASCC has never seen an openly gay driver however the TM Master Cup Series has with Irish driver, Stephanie McGlynn.

"I don't want to be known as that driver who comes here looking for sympathy because I'm the slightest bit different from everyone else. I'm that driver who wants to come here and win. Winning is my primary concern. I'm not here to make friends and I'm certainly not here for people to ridicule me for being different." said Clapprood after asked about his status in the ASCC.

Collins looking to drive for a bigger team in 2013

Former Bill Barclay Motorsports driver Aaron Collins has recently wrote a public statement on that he is considering signing with a bigger team for the 2013 Season. Collins was a major contender for the title in 2012 with lots of consistency playing a big part in his title hunt, until tire issues took him out of contention in the Season Finale at Atlanta. Collins stated saying that he has a potential to drive for a bigger team and contend for a championship as well, and show a lot of consistency to show for it too.

Delgado Wants Reunion With Ocean Motorsports

Tom Delgado confirmed this morning on his weekly radio segment that he is seeking a return to where his career started, Ocean Motorsports.

"I've been genuinely flattered by the interest from other organizations, but I think my best chance at winning a title lies with the defending owner's champion" Delgado said. "Despite the fact that we had our issues in 2007, they always told me I could come back if the time was right. I would be honored if they allowed me to return, to kinda' bring my career full circle if you will" Delgado added.

Tom Delgado is a 2-time TM Master Cup Series race winner, a former ARLA Elite Series race winner, and former TM Master Cup Series comeback driver of the year.

Azure wants to return to ASCC; will listen to offers

Frank Azure announced that he would like to return to the ASCC in 2013 after making the Chase in 2012. He stated that he would look over any offers that he might get.

"I haven't heard anything from Southern Motorsports about me returning. I don't even know if they are returning at all next year. I think I proved myself at my advanced age that I still got what it takes to run up front. I'll be looking over any team that is willing to offer me a ride. If I don't get any, I'll bring FAC to the ASCC if I have to."

Frank qualified for the Chase last season, but had horrible luck once the Chase started, resulting in a 13th place points finish.

"Matty Mac" to run in ASCC?

According to reports, Mattias McCallister might be competing in the ASCC for Team Quest, pending what happens for his ride in TM Lights. McCallister, who recently made the jump to "the big leagues after dominating in many Canadian minor league series, has had a rather frustrating off-season. He's been caught up in the "TM Canadagate" scandal in which some idiot reporter got all pissed off at his news station and purposely messed up on McCallister's resume to try to damage the station's credibility. Also, his plans to run in ARLA were scrapped due to time constraints and he's still on the waiting list for TM Lights.

These reports now leaves a big "Quest"ion mark as to what Team Quest owner Gregory Alexander will do, if the reports are true. Will he try to add a 4th entry for the team or will he pull one of the drivers he already has in out to make room for McCallister?

The chances of this happening are probably unlikely. Even if McCallister doesn't get in for TM Lights, he's Canadian, and the ASCC is known for having only American drivers

Alexander confirms rumors of entering 4th car, reveals sponsors for each car

Team Quest owner Gregory Alexander jus confirmed a few hours ago that he will try to add a 4th car to the team for the upcoming ASCC season, and that Mattias McCallister will be the driver. McCallister, who was denied entry into TM Lights, was not exactly pleased to hear this news, when told about it:

"You gotta be kidding me, right? This off-season has been a nightmare and now it just got worse. Now I'm gonna have to go through this waiting game all over again. I probably should've just stayed in Canada, because I think I know how this will end."

McCallister will drive the #14 car. Alexander also released the sponsor info for each car.

Barry Rollins' (#88) sponsor: Dunkin Donuts
Mattias McCallister's (#14) sponsor: Canada Dry
Lucas Kendall's (#42) sponsor: WWE
Richard Sawyer's (#78) sponsor: Nationwide

Team Saar USA Merges with McCallister Motorsports

ASCC Saar powerhouses Team Saar USA and McCallister Motorsports announced that they would merge for the 2013 ASCC season. Despite McCallister Motorsports's strong 2012 campaign, the team had problems securing sponsors, and their financial plight got worse as the season progressed.

"Peter [Keyes] has put together one of the most secure teams ever in auto racing." McCallister Motorsports founder Garth McCallister stated.
"Our program is strong, but we both had things the other needed to be competitive. Merging our organizations was the best solution for both parties."

Team Saar USA, despite barely missing out on the championship with Tony Durbin, had not been as strong as expected, and team owner Peter Keyes felt he could save the floundering McCallister team while helping his own out at the same time.

"Garth McCallister has always been a strong presence in the garage... and so have we. Now that we will be working together, we can be a much stronger force on the track." Keyes stated.

The team will use the "Team Saar USA" moniker for its future efforts. It has already claimed the use of McCallister's famous #12 for the upcoming season, and it is expected that Garth McCallister, Jr. will be the driver.

Ocean Motorsports to Run Two New Yorkers?

One of the strongest rumors circulating the ASCC silly season is that the factory Lenard team, Ocean Motorsports, will campaign two New Yorkers for its 2013 effort. The rumor is that Tom Delgado, who drove for the team back in 2007 in the TM Master Cup series, will return to the team in car #37, while his teammate will be Mike Whitmore in a second full-time car for Ocean Motorsports, likely the #38. Despite winning the championship with Dan Richards, Ocean Motorsports does not appear to be running a third car in the ASCC, as team owner Greg Munson has stated that finances are "tighter than usual".

PSA Seeks Audience With Delgado!

Power Surge America has set it's sights on "international racing superstar" free agent Tom Delgado. PSA owner William Power said that "We lost out on Leonid Roderick earlier but we sure as hell don't intend to miss out where Tom Delgado is concerned. In fact, we've already had discussions with several sponsors-- Frito Lay and Eveready Batteries to name a couple-- with a high level of interest in coming on board should Tom sign with us over here at PSA."
Power then rolled out a mock up of the car Delgado could be driving should that come to fruition:

2013 ASCC Silly Season Thread V3hlhs

"We really want Tom to come by and tour our facilities before he makes a decision about his plans to make a triumphant return to racing. We think he'd have a bright future with us and a home with a solid foundation," Power continued. "And I'll be completely honest here-- I want Tom Delgado on our team because it will not only strengthen our organization and but weaken any of our rivals who fail to land a premiere talent such as Tom Delgado. I believe Tom will thrive with us and his career will once again rise to meet the level prominence of his true potential."

CONFIRMED: Tom Delgado FINALLY Signs With Ocean Motorsports For 2013

The career of Tom Delgado has come full circle.

After a long day and hearing one last pitch from Power Surge America owner William Power as well as a tour of the shop, Delgado had made his decision, opting to sign with the defending ASCC owner's champion, Ocean Motorsports.

"I know Mr. Power put the full court press on to sign me, but if I'm going to win a championship, I truly believe it's going to be with the team that gave me my start in Master Cup. I want to thank Mr. Greg Munson for being so gracious in allowing me to return to where I got my start. I was so immature back then, I thought I had burned that bridge. I am extremely humbled to be back with Ocean Motorsports, and I can promise you...things WILL be different. Mr. Munson is getting someone who's been through the wringer the past few years, and has become a better person for it" Delgado said as he finished signing the contract to drive for the team in the 2013 ASCC season.

Delgado drove for Ocean Motorsports in 2007 as a TM Master Cup Series rookie before being released in mid-season. In 2012, after he retired from Master Cup, he claimed his problems in 2007 were due to drug and alcohol abuse.

Collins to bring McDonalds sponsorship with him

Aaron Collins has just announced that which ever team he gwts signed to in 2013, he will bring his McDonalds sponsorship with him that he had onboard his car with Bill Barclay Motorsports in 2012, "The reason being is because I tend to have a strong connection with the Company. I feel to have a lot of trust in being a great contender for the title and do it again in 2013, so I hope I can seek many different options on different teams."

Steve Holiday Racing announces driver signing

Steve Holiday Racing has signed ASCC driver Aaron Collins, in the #97, McDonalds, Bolden. Collins raced last year with Bill Chapman Motorsports. He will be teamed up with the #98, Dairy Queen, Bolden, of Micheal Humpfrey. Owner Steve Holiday Jr, will run a part-time effort in the #79, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Bolden.

Has Steve Holiday Racing become a new power house team? Only time will tell when they make their 1st start @ Texas.

(OOC: Could someone add these to the team chart?)

Tim Woodard secures sponsorship but loses his ride... and his mind.

Tim Woodard, who was... err... 'let go' by Ocean Team Lenard due to performance and behavioral issues, announced that he had secured sponsorship from Glenn Beck's The Blaze and the Chick-Fil-A. He's hoping to find a ride before the season is to begin... As stated time and time again, he continues to seek out teams that run Saar. The mental stability of this driver can be questioned, however, as he has become more erratic as the stress of getting a ride mounts.

Kidd's Opinion of Delgado; "Big Jerk"

Once again, PSI/PSA owner William Power watched as a coveted big named free agent acquisition slipped through his fingers. But it seems not everyone in the organization "coveted" Tom Delgado.
When the news that Delgado signed with Ocean Motorsports for a second stint, PSA driver Jim Kidd, winner of both New York races in 2012, had this to say:

"Good. Saves me from putting out my unwelcome mat for him. I didn't want him here in the first place. My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives. The best alternative was for him not to come here at all. Am I the only one who thinks this guy'sa great big jerk?! Consider him a prima donna and a cancer on whatever team he's been on. We don't need that here and instead of being glad when he's gone, I'm happy he never came. He's capable of punching me for what I've said and giving me another concussion, but wouldn't that kind of prove my point?"

PSA teammate Billy Bob Childers commented on the situation, "Coffee makes me nervous when I drink it. Mmm."

Peter Simpson to apply for open Team CTR seat.

The 28 year old Army Veteran from Omaha, Nebraska has announced that he will apply for the open seat with Team CTR. It is unknown if the team will take him on or if he will have to look for another ride.

A.J. Murphy welcomed back to Accelerator Motorsports. Team hopes they can pull off a better season.

Seems A.J. Murphy has been welcomed back to the team with cheers. Murphy was known to have consistently ran better than team owner Calvin Hobbes and got into the chase last year. The team is excited for the upcoming season and hopes are high that they'll do better than they did last year.

Anderson Signs Sponsorship Deal with Meijer

Seth Anderson, who is currently in the process of looking for a ride in the ASCC for 2013, has reportedly signed a sponsorship deal with Meijer, a superstore chain across America. This could be vital towards him finding a drive, having a sponsor, due to the fact that many teams have expressed having financial issues or tighter budgets this season. Anderson ran for Jack Cronin's underfunded team in 2012 as a rookie, and hopes to score a ride for a more funded team, though he also said he would be willing to return to the 89 and bring his funding.

Nash Secures Extra Funding for 2013 Season

Thomas Nash has secured some extra funding in the form of sponsorship in order to have a more competitive 2013 ASCC Wrangler Cup Series.

The sponsors in questions is Big Red, a red cream soda from the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group based out of Plano, Texas and Luby's, a restaurant operation based out of Houston, Texas. Also returning to the Nash Motorsports #7 Bolden is Quaker State, Reliant Energy, and TornadoVideos.net.

"It's a pleasure to have Big Red and Luby's come aboard with us along with Reliant Energy and TornadoVideos.net. Quaker State also confirmed earlier this year that they'll be coming back with us. Now that we have sponsorship secured, we can focus on developing our car. We got our hands on a couple new Bolden's and I think we'll me much more competitive this year. Hopefully all of the folks at the ASSC, the competitors, sponsors, and fans will see that we will be much better this season. I can't wait to get back out on the track!" said Nash at his Houston area-based shop.

Former TM Master Cup Series/TM Lights Driver Looking to return to racing possibly in the ASCC

With ASCC silly season in full swing, another driver has thrown his name into the ring, Taylor Silverman.

The 30 year old Michigan native ran for the Independent's Trophy in the TMMCS in 2011 with a best finish of 4th at Daytona. He also ran a full season in the TM Lights for Great Lakes Motorsports.

Silverman was left without a ride at the end of 2011 when the team he was driving for folded and he was released from his TM Lights ride as a result of team re-management.

The American Red Cross, who sponsored Silverman in the TM Lights, is interested in hooking up with him should he find a ride.

High Gear on ASCC Silly Season

TriOval has two cars confirmed, no word on drivers or if Miller, Jonser, or Stewart will return.

Southern Motorsports appears to be down to one car for now but Jason Richardson brings significant sponsorship from the US Navy and he won a race so it seems logical that he will return unless he moves to another team.

Team Saar USA and McCallister have merged and the #3 car is replaced with the #12 in the team's lineup. The #12 car is expected to go to Garth McCallister, Jr. This means that either Travis Marshall or Ethan Everett is out. Given that the #3 is gone my money would be on Everett's unemployment.

I haven't heard any news from Evans Motorsports but Anthony Evans and Roman Musico both stand a strong chance of returning. Colin Evans, the 2012 RROL champion, is NOT returning to that series in 2013 so he could be a factor for a car here.

Power Surge America already has Jim Kidd and Billy Bob Childers confirmed so there isn't any speculation here.

Bill Barclay's team is back but both of their drivers are unknown. The McDonalds sponsorship is tied to Aaron Collins and he could be on the move. Casey Lester's status is also unclear although he spoke to Shane Lake earlier in the offseason.

Palmer Stiles also has two TBAs at his team, but I would expect Stiles to remain at the helm of the #21 car. Whitmore has left the team for Ocean Motorsports.

Darren Moore is looking to return to Camelot Racing. Not sure about Manny Brown.

Ocean Motorsports has confirmed that Tom Delgado will be returning to the team in 2013. Mike Whitmore will join him, leaving Curtis Darcy, Lorne Roth, and Tim Woodard looking for rides.

McDermott, Whittaker, and Cronin are all unknowns.
