Re: 2013 Indianapolis 500
WOW.
Dat... race.
14 different leaders, 68 lead changes, double the record from last year. The finish was buzzkilled by Dario wrecking (ironically), but that does not take away from the fact that this was perhaps the best Indianapolis 500 I've ever watched. Totally lived up to all of the expectations, and to top it all off, Tony Kanaan finally wins after 12 tries, and the way he won it was with a three-wide pass into turn 1. Unbelieveable.
This race absolutely deserves a 10/10. I never thought it would happen, but it just did. Not even a buzzkilled finish could stop this race from getting a perfect score. Further proof that IndyCar is on the rise.

The best part of the whole thing was that the racing was great all day long. It didn't need some crazy finish to be memorable

Re: 2013 Indianapolis 500
Best Indy 500 that i have personally ever seen. Probably easily top 5 of all time race wise. So much passing and hard racing and the only deterrent is that final caution but that's part of racing.
TK! Finally brings it on home and gets that Indy win...You can say it's there Earnhardt winning the 500 moment for Indycar. Glad to see him win and finally defeat the black cloud of bad luck
Carlos Munoz is gonna be around for a while in Indycar, ran a hell of a race and ended up finishing 2nd after being up up there all day. Great job by the kid
AJ Allmendinger also prove he still has it and keep with them after being away for so long.
Awesome, Awesome race today! That's why we love motorsports.

First Indy 500 I've ever watched and it was one hell of a good one. Glad to see Kanaan get the win after so much bad luck in the past and a great job by Munoz the rookie.

I've said it twice on Facebook, I'll say it on here.
NASCAR, this is proof you don't need bullshit cautions to make a race fun to watch. And if a long green flag run is boring, that should mean it's time to work on the car to make a long green flag run fun to watch.

I, 100% approve of this statement.
Re: 2013 Indianapolis 500
That race was fantastic, and so far 2 for 2 today. Kanaan finally gets his Indy 500 win, and while the Andretti Curse lives, Marco will leave with an 11 point lead over Sato.
On another note, Oriol Servia is now ninth in points, and without a ride officially. Dreyer & Reinbold are not planning on showing up anymore until Indy next year.
Unofficial Top 10 In Points
#25 Marco Andretti 168
#14 Takuma Sato -11
#3 Helio Castroneves -16
#1 Ryan Hunter-Reay -30
#27 James Hinchcliffe -40
#19 Justin Wilson -43
#11 Tony Kanaan -44
#9 Scott Dixon -46
#22 Oriol Servia -56
#77 Simon Pagenaud -60
Still looks like it is anyone's championship.

"And I have to say; that last lap was the longest lap of my life! I wanted the pace car to hurry up so bad!"
An absolutely amazing race! It was so touching to hear those stories about Kanaan's son and the girl whom he gave that medal to for good luck 9 years ago! This has definately been one of Indycar's most exciting and memorable weekends ever!

Awesome, awesome race. Possibly the best 500 I've seen in person. I'm so happy for Kanaan. It's about time he won this thing after all of these rough years. This is probably going to end up being my race of the year without a doubt.

Inb4 Marco loses the title because he can't close the door on anything.

With TK finally winning Indy, maybe this is the year Helio finally wins the series title.

Found this on Bia's twitter account...
So it appears the proposal wasn't actually legitimate.
- Spoiler:
- Ana Beatriz Bia @Biaracing 8h
For all asking, the proposal before the race was a prank for CQC Tv show in Brazil. It was made by the comedian @MauMeirelles ...

Look at the number of records that this years Indy 500 either tied or beat. This makes me officially love the DW12 on Indianapolis, and I can't wait until we see these cars at Pocono!
