Could Bernie buy the Long Beach GP?
If this happens, then what becomes IndyCar's signature street race? St. Pete?

Could he? Yes. Will he? No. I doubt Long Beach would meet modern F1 track guidelines. Besides, COTA seems good enough for a race in the western US.

If he wants another American race, he'll try going for the New Jersey track, but that's if that race ever happens.RetrogradeRenegade wrote:Could he? Yes. Will he? No. I doubt Long Beach would meet modern F1 track guidelines. Besides, COTA seems good enough for a race in the western US.

I he buys the race, it'll fold in a few years under the huge sanctioning costs he imposes to run F1 races. If freaking Indy couldn't afford it, I doubt a track that needs to be rebuilt every year could*

Probably nothing more than a ploy to get the New Jersey people into gear with the race.
