2013 NBA Playoffs

The 2013 NBA playoffs have just begun. Here's how the 1st round matchups look:

EASTERN CONFERENCE:
#1 Miami Heat vs. #8 Milwaukee Bucks
#4 Brooklyn Nets vs. #5 Chicago Bulls
#3 Indiana Pacers vs. #6 Atlanta Hawks
#2 New York Knicks vs. #7 Boston Celtics

WESTERN CONFERENCE
#1 Oklahoma City Thunder vs. #8 Houston Rockets
#4 Los Angeles Clippers vs. #5 Memphis Grizzlies
#3 Denver Nuggets vs. #6 Golden State Warriors
#2 San Antonio Spurs vs. #7 Los Angeles Lakers

You can vote for which team you think will win.

My heart says "Celtics", but my brain says "Heat", as much as it pains me.

Miami out of the East at least, anyone else who says otherwise..........

Here's how I think the playoffs will go down

EC 1st round:
#1 Miami (4) vs #8 Milwaukee (0) The Heat are too damn good
#4 Brooklyn (4) vs #5 Chicago (1) No Derrick Rose=No win for Chicago
#3 Indiana (4) vs #6 Atlanta (0) I really like this Indiana team
#2 New York (4) vs #7 Boston (3) Boston's gonna be motivated to play hard after those bombings, but I don't see them winning

WC 1st round:
#1 Oklahoma City (4) vs #8 Houston (2) Harden will make OKC pay for trading him, but it won't be enough
#4 LA Clippers (4) vs #5 Memphis (1) I hated the fact that Memphis traded away Rudy Gay. They'll pay for it
#3 Denver (4) vs. #6 Golden State (1) I think GS is simply overmatched
#2 San Antonio (4) vs #7 LA Lakers (3) Since the Lakers are my team, I want them to put up a good fight, but no Kobe=No win

EC Semi-Finals
#1 Miami (4) vs #4 Brooklyn (1) Again, Miami's too damn good
#2 New York (4) vs #3 Indiana (3) Melo really wants that ring

WC Semi-Finals
#1 Oklahoma City (4) vs #4 LA Clippers (0) To me, the Clippers will ALWAYS be "That other basketball team from LA"
#2 San Antonio (2) vs #3 Denver (4) Always hated the Spurs

EC Finals
#1 Miami (3) vs #2 New York (4) No way do I wanna see a Miami repeat

WC Finals
#1 Oklahoma City (4) vs #3 Denver (1) Too much star power on OKC

NBA Finals
Oklahoma City (3) vs New York (4) I really think now is Melo's time

I agree with you, BigDaddy24, that Melo really wants the ring, but I think the Pacers will win that matchup and OKC will cruise to the title in five games against them as I expect Miami to choke down the stretch and not make the finals.

So it's the Heat vs. the Spurs in the finals. As much as I don't wanna see the Heat win again, I gotta root for them now because I hate San Antonio with a passion.

I'm not even mad. That's because I don't follow the NBA.

I was definitely off base with my predictions. Looking for Miami to take another title as I am definitely not a fan of the Spurs.

And the Miami Heat score their second straight title after a thrilling battle with the Spurs. Congrats to the Heat.

San Antonio, what the hell happened in Game 6, man? Very reminiscent of the Red Sox collapse back in the 80's. To their credit, they came back in Game 7 and made it a battle.

Now, on to another great championship battle in the Stanley Cup Finals.
