2013 MLB Season

Post by RealRacer4 on Mon Apr 01, 2013 5:01 pm

I might as well start the thread being that it's opening day. As a Yankee fan, this could be a long year for me.

Judging from today's result, I'd say you're right. Smile

Judging from today's result, and their off season injuries, it's going to be a long, painful season for the Yankees.

I'll just be glad when the Cubs finish in the cellar of the NL Central*

I have such an urge to make some kind of Evangelion reference joke since I just got done watching it. Laughing

Back on topic, the Mets and the Astros are off to a great start. I might as well start calling the Mets the Yankees given how many runs the Mets scored compared to the Yanks. Razz

Anybody see the brawl between the Dodgers and Padres last night. Zack Grienke hit Carlos Quentin and Quentin charged the mound in a benches clearing brawl. Grienke has a broken collarbone.
Kind of reminds me of (forgive me for saying this) the Clint Bowyer Jeff Gordon incident. Quentin says that he has a history with Grienke and that, "There's a reason I reacted the way I did."

I saw that when I was watching SportsCenter today. After seeing the flashback between those two, I honestly don't blame Quentin for being mad at Grienke.

Anyone watching the Yankees-Orioles game will know what I'm about to say...

If the umpire that called a balk on CC had an extra eye, he'd be a cyclops. That was asinine. Then again, so are 95% of all balk calls...

Also, the very elusive 4-6-5-6-5-3-4 triple play happened.

So, the Cubs and the Reds are currently playing inside a low-flying cloud. That is to say, the fog is so thick you can't see second base from home plate and you can just barely see the mound.

Red Sox got spotted a six-run lead in the first inning against Tampa Bay.

John Lackey is in the process of giving it all back. Fail
