Re: 2013 Malaysian GP
Anyone want to start a pool on which lap the race will be red flagged because of insanely heavy rain?

So Johnny Cecotto proved once again how dumb and stupid Venezuelan drivers are by trying to run Bird off the track, DURING QUALIFYING

There are certain things in Racing that you just don't do, like that.

There is now.
Utterly inexcusable driving from Cecotto, he should've been banned for at least one race.

Thats the sort of driving I'd expect from Martin Schanche. Surely they'll at least put him at the back of the grid.RetrogradeRenegade wrote:PYLrulz wrote:Alta wrote:Link to a video? Looks pretty douchey.

Or Jason Plato. Yeah they did send him to the back of the grid, but that's really not harsh enough IMO.

Bird was demoted 3 positions as well, which made little sense at all...
Great qualifying session, guys at Red Bull once again outsmarted the rest. It appeared they were anticipating rain for the race, and set the car up accordingly to the circumstances and got lucky with rain in qualifying..also, Massa and Bianchi had great sessions!

Being that this race will be in the rain, anything can happen. With that said, I don't think Vettel will win this easily.

To say Bianchi had a great session is an understatement, that was absolutely sublime! I wonder how he'd be doing in the Force India, instead of, say, di Resta...

Re: 2013 Malaysian GP
I'm curious. To those who have watched the season opener last weekend on NBCSN, how was the coverage? Do they show the side-by-side/non-stop thing like they do when showing the IndyCar races? I'm debating on whether I should watch it from that channel or watch it online.

Yeah they did side-by-side last week. Graphics are a bit cooler and they got a post-race show now.RealRacer4 wrote:I'm curious. If Ferrari and Alonso lose both titles, this race is why. WHY would you not bring him in with a damaged front wing? The race perhaps wouldn't have been lost if he had.

Someone fire up Hagudo Ragtime for that last round of pit stops - Hamilton pulling into the McLaren box, Pic & Vergne colliding. Yeesh. We're not even a quarter of the way through!

Please let Webber and Vettel come to blows in parc ferme after that. That was awesome by Webber to say, "HELL NO!".

Re: 2013 Malaysian GP
Of course, I said this myself right after Lewis Hamilton signed with Mercedes and everyone was saying that he was ending his career by going to that team.
Saying that it's been an interesting race would be an understatement. That battle between the 2 Red Bull drivers was AWESOME!!
Needless to say, he has most certainly prooved a LOT of people wrong, especially comparing Mercede's performance to McLaren's in the first 2 races of the season.RealRacer4 wrote:Although this is unlikely to happen, I know last year that we all thought Clint Bowyer was basically ending his career to go to MWR but proved us all wrong. With that said, who knows what will happen?

Re: 2013 Malaysian GP
Good race. Some passing as well as other general excitement.
Vettel wins with a sneaky move on Webber, I think that had to be the most pit fail i've ever seen. Force India being derps and Hamilton with the fail of the year by pitting in his former pit stall.
Little pissed that Mercedes didn't let the teammates fight because they forgot to make sure the cars were full of fuel but whatever...it's just the final podium spot.
