Favorite Paint Schemes Thread

Post by kensethfan on Mon Mar 11, 2013 8:53 pm

This is one of Derrike Cope's 2009 schemes, specifically the one he ran during the Daytona 500 Duels. I can't imagine it would be most people's choice for one of their favorite paint schemes, but it is for me.

This is Jeff Gordon's 20th Anniversary DuPont scheme from last season. For the last DuPont car Gordon ever raced, it's quite sexy if you ask me.

This is Matt Kenseth's 2010 Crown Royal scheme. When I first saw this car, I had tried numerous times to paint it for NR2003, but my pickiness for trying to get the base spot on prevented me from getting very far with it. Plus, I think it looked a lot better with a spoiler instead of a wing.

This is Scott Riggs' 2005 Checkers/Rally's scheme. I was not yet a NASCAR fan when this car was first raced, and the only reason I know it exists is because of his hard crash at Talladega that year. I must say, though, the black on top of the red and the red on top of the white makes it look really appealing.

That's all I can really think of for now; do post pictures of some of your favorite schemes. Smile

This thread seems quite the reminder of this one I posted:

http://efr1.forumotion.com/t2597-personal-favourite-nascar-paint-schemes

Thought I'd post some of my favourite schemes from that thread into this thread, put them into a spoiler so I don't take up too much space.

Here are my favorite paint schemes from BWardboy88's thread:

Spoiler:
I've always really liked this one.

One of the best of all-time. Razz

Even though I'm not a fan of Citgo, this is an absolutely beautiful paint scheme. I also really liked the Exide one mentioned above.

Wish I could have found a better picture, but I've always liked the simplicity of this one...

First saw this in 2002 at Pocono and fell in love with it.

Had this as a die-cast many years ago.

Spoiler:
Busch Series!

Burton's Busch cars were always good looking.

This, and the old blue Supercuts car that Kerry Earnhardt drove were my favorites, but I couldn't find a good picture of the blue one...

Watch out, Andy Lally in da house!

Alta's 1980s-1990s Reject Drivers Death Races have inspired me:
