Hewitt gets a top 10, his first since his win at BRNO.

James Hewitt driving the ageing HMC Volari got a brilliant top 10 finishing 9th, proving that winning at BRNO was no fluke. although Hewitt got involved in an incident and was still able to bring the plucky little Volari into the top 10, Hewitt is now 18th in points after his top 9 finish.

His first fulltime season is looking like one to be remembered.

Pentilex Racing surprised with rookie success

The #74 Pentilex Genesis finished 10th in the race at their home track. Their beginners luck was a surprise considering a rough early incident involving 3 cars, and small damage later. The team hopes to perform well as the season continues.

Delgado's Race Ruined by Erratic Driving Around Him

Tom Delgado was on his way to a potential top 20 at Road Atlanta until several acts of erratic driving happened to him.

"I'm amazed some of these guys got their competitor's credentials. There was so much sketchy driving all over the place...and don't get me started on those guys who cut the course more times than the number of laps they actually logged! We'll just have to hope the idiocy doesn't get worse in Phoenix" Delgado said after his race.

Ben Atkins takes first career victory in dramatic finish

Ben Atkins, with only one top 5 prior to this race, took home his first career victory after Klara Kindahl blew up on the last lap from the lead.

"Holy shit I just fucking won." said Ben Atkins, before, guess what, collapsing on the floor and dying at the scene. Upon reviving at the scene 2 minutes later, Robert Nelson then killed Atkins, but Atkins revived 30 seconds later to finish the interview; "Yeah the race was fucking boring. No-one died. But I won. So that's FANTASTIC. FUCK YEAH!"

Atkins is now 2nd in points, which he quoted, was "bullshit" and reportedly called points leader Nicholas Korodovos a "faggot" as Atkins believed he should be the points leader for "being a motherfucking sorcerer".

Korodovos declares war on Atkins, enlistment for the cause has opened.

Nicholas Korodovos has declared war on Ben Atkins. Korodovos' media minion stated, "Ben Atkins has done the unthinkable, he has degraded our glorious leader by calling him a "faggot." We minions do not take such harsh words lightly, so our glorious leader has declared war on Ben Atkins head." When asked about how they intend on fighting this war, the minion stated, "We have the capabilities to build a nuclear missle. One so strong it can blow up the entire universe. Our glorious leader (Korodovos) however says that the Nuke will only be used in a dire situation. Such as Atkins calling our leader "naughty words." We also have an open enlistment on our website, and it is a lot more functional then the Obamacare website. If we do not get enough people through open enlistment, we will have a Korodovos Military draft, in which put everyone in the worlds name in a hat, and we draw 1% of the worlds population to be forced to join our army. That should roughly give us just under 72 million troops." The minion closed this press release by saying, "BEN ATKINS WILL DIE, and this time he won't come back!"

Chris Winter scores a career high third and Daniel Leckliter's Bathurst 12 hour win seems to have worked well in his favor.

"Third place is a nice way to start the season off with, especially at a track like Road Atlanta."

Like their team's primary sponsor, both PPR drivers went down in flames

Bad luck ran amok for Phoenix Performance Racing drivers Greg Woodard and Dan Foray, who got caught up in people's idiocy or decided to use themselves as a turntable and smash into the wall *cough Foray cough* The fact that the team missed the deadline for the exhibition and not finishing in the first race of the season shows how unlucky these two, sorry, bastards are. Personally speaking, this reporter believes their manufacturer, Lycoia, as something that should have never existed and it is Karmic retribution for rejecting every any legitimate and far superior manufacturer out there. I seriously hope they continue to face struggles and continue to fail. Also, whoever founded Lycoia needs to be eliminated from the timeline. God only knows that would save us the grief the world faces when it comes to this reject of a manufacturer.
