TDR Not a Factor as de Pretto & Gaffigan Struggle
By the time lap 104 rolled around, both Tom Delgado Racing entries were out, and once again, Tom Delgado was left to pick up the pieces after yet another dismal night to cap off their season. With Gaffigan leaving for the seemingly greener pastures of Team Thunder, and de Pretto's future uncertain, Delgado admitted that the future of Tom Delgado Racing was not looking as bright as he had hoped it was.
"After all the underachieving we've done all season, it's fitting that 2012 ends for us with a whimper. Kyle's off to Team Thunder, and I have absolutely no idea what Carlo wants to do going forward. About the only thing I could say about 2012 is that...well, it's over. I have to do a better job in 2013, Tom Delgado Racing has to do a better job in 2013. *clears throat* When we do well, it's because of our drivers and our crews. When we don't, it's because of the owner. I take full responsibility for the team's inability to perform well on a consistent basis. *clears throat, awkward pause* Time's yours" Delgado said before taking questions from several journalists.
OOC: This race (I assume) happened before the events of the Daytona exhibition in Dash Cup. Also, those who watch and follow handegg can see where I went with the Tom Delgado post-race interview.

- Spoiler:
- Driver ecstatic with 2nd place finish amid controversial performance at the Rockford 200
After starting towards the front of the field. Debutant driver Megan Driver appeared to be too excited coming into the first corners to go three wide and cause a massive stack up. Driver and her spotter, were called to the hauler by race control immediately afterwards. Driver would stay up in the top 5, never falling below 5th place.
She was extremely apologetic to several drivers including Nick Howard, who, was blamed by Driver's spotter for 'cutting Megan off'. Driver will have to face the music after a late race pass to take a 2nd place finish. Impressing the crew for her keeping her car as clean as it was.

- Spoiler:
- Rogers irate over Quiggles dump:
This wasn't the way Kellan Rogers wanted to end her 2012 season.
Rogers had managed to stay out of trouble most of the early going of the Rockford 200, but was run over by then-championship leading Ebenezer Quiggles on Lap 60, getting an up-close and personal introduction to the Jersey barrier on the front stretch.
"I just got dumped, pure and simple," Rogers said. "I got through the wreck in 3 OK, and then out of nowhere Quiggles gets me."
"I don't know what I did to him to deserve that," Rogers said. "Quiggles is supposedly racing for a championship, right? So why the hell is he wrecking everyone and his sister out there? Oh, well...nothing I can do about it now."
Team boss Ryan Matthews, taking a break from his Decatur duties, was on the pit box for the 200 and didn't mince words like Rogers did.
"What an idiot," Matthews said of Quiggles. "Guy's racing with the title in his back pocket and he decides he's going to be a battering ram. And this is a guy who's getting a Cup ride next year. I don't know...all I can do is shake my head."
This will be Rogers' last ARLA appearance for a while, as she is slated to return to the Dash Cup series full-time in 2013. But she wouldn't rule out another go in an ARLA car.
"If Ryan wants to put a deal together for me for a couple races, I'd be foolish to say no," she said. "I can't thank him and Ike Durbin enough for giving me a shot in their cars this season. Hopefully I can do for Eichholtz Atlantic Racing what I did for them."

Ceej, this is by far the best ARLA video yet. And to echo Tom's comment. Dat Allie Riggs radio.
- Spoiler:
- More finishes 11th in 200 after incident with Richards; has words with Richards in victory lane
Great Lakes Motorsports owner, Jim More, didn't get off to a great start in his Rockford 200 start. After pitting for a loose wheel, More returned to the racetrack on lap 11. The move caused the #32 of David Krikorian to move across the front end of Kyle Gaffigan bring out the yellow.
"That was totally my error. Greg [the spotter] told me I had an opening coming out and I just went. Didn't have any idea of the closing rate," More stated after the race.
From there though, More's race did get better. Despite falling a lap down, More managed to battle his way up to 6th and was battling for 5th with just 7 laps to go.
However, contact with race leader and eventually race winner, Dan Richards, sent More into the inside barrier. After gingerly exiting his car, More stood by the ambulance and pointed at Richards as the field went by under yellow.
After the finish, More confronted Richards in victory lane. However, it appears More only had words with Richards and didn't appear to get physical. Afterword, More had this to say about the incident to ARLA News Now.
"We had a top-5 car and we got {expletive} wrecked. I don't understand. He [Richards] has a 7 second lead no one is challenging him and he decides to just dump us. He did it to Finkelburg and he did it to us. That's just damn idiotic."

Awesome race! I think this is my favorite video you've made for an ARLA race. Looks like a lot of hard work went into it.

The longer a video is, the better it is.

On lap 51, Leckliter was taken out of the race from third by Nick Howard.
"I don't care if it was intentional or not, Last Row Autosport are a bunch of fucks anyway."
Winter celebrates 4th place finish
Chris Winter managed to lead his first laps in ARLA Competition tonight as he winds up in a very strong 4th place.

What I don't understand is how did Jennifer Goodwin run every race this season, and still finish 48th in points? She had nine DNF's, but also three top ten finishes.

You don't get points for races you DNF'd, so more than likely them 9 DNF's really hurt her.

Eichholtz Has Good Finish to 2012 Season
Jacob Eichholtz, driver of car 231, finished 9th in his second Rockford 200, after finishing in the top 5 last year. His third top-ten of the season concludes a struggle of a season for the team, in which mechanical troubles kept them out of contention along with the other Saar teams.
"It was a good night for us relatively speaking," said Eichholtz. "We finished in the top 10 and got points, avoided most of the issues out there tonight. I can't wait for 2013 and all that it brings, in ARLA and the higher levels of the racing hierarchy."

Yeah, but she still had 12 races where she scored points, three of those she finished in the top ten, 10th place is worth 74 points, so that's at least 222 points. That means she scored 464 points in the remaining nine races that she scored. That comes out to an average of about 52 a race, which is really about a 21st place finish.

- Sandy disappointed with wreck on lap 2
Barton Sandy finished off the year with a crash on lap 2, finishing his race and season on a bad note, but he's optimistic about next year going to Bjorn Green Racing.
"We spent a lot of money on the cars on this team but we couldn't afford it for next year. Hopefully we have some fun and race well for Bjorn next year. He said that he'll get me better at short tracks."

Re: 2012 Race 22 (33rd Rockford 200)
Tyler "Rips" Title From Quiggles!
Rip Tyler Pulls off Greatest Comeback In ARLA History!
When Rip Tyler buckled himself into the cockpit of his #16 Dino-Might Tonare Thunderbolt before the 2012 Rockford 200, he knew he had a small chance to win the ARLA championship. His hopes bordered between slim and none-- but there was still a chance! And that's all he needed to hear.
"I knew it was a long shot, but I didn't think it was totally insurmountable at all," Tyler admitted in the winner's circle. "To be completely honest, I knew that I was capable of erasing the deficit, I just wasn't confident that I'd get the opportunity to do so. Plus, I was battling the stomach issues. Being a little sick may have been a blessing in disguise actually because I was a little zapped of some energy and was pretty calm to start the race My mind was distracted because I was just focused on finishing the race and not too caught up in the numbers game."
Tyler entered the 33rd running of ARLA's most prestigious race trailing points leader Ebeneezer Quiggles, Jr. by 72 points. "Honestly, I blocked all of that out. I just knew I had to finish in front of both him and Kuzzie. That's all I needed to know."
"I just wanted to get the race started," Tyler stated. "I know it was fun for the fans and all, and maybe if I had felt better, I would have enjoyed but Pavlov the driving bear more. But I was pretty miserable though," Tyler laughed. "As the night wore on, it cooled off and I got more comfortable."
The first indicator that it was going to be Tyler's night happened when Yevgeny Kuznetsov exited the race with mechanical troubles. Then Quiggles got involved in several altercations and wrecks that eventually forced him out of the race as well.
When asked if Quiggles choked, Tyler commented, "I think that the pressure was on him, for sure, being the leader going in. I wouldn't say that he choked, but I think after all of the wrecks he got involved in, I think he began to press a little. Look, Quiggy was carving up through the field with his hood missing! He was flat out fast! I was just trying to keep him behind me and I don't know if I could have had he stayed in the race."
"Even when Quiggy and Kuzzie were out, I knew that I still had a lot of work to do," Tyler continued. "When they radioed me that the 12th car had fallen out, I knew I would finish 11th and I would win. If I finished! It was then that I set out to win the Rockford 200. I had to be aggressively selective. We got rear ended early on and I wasn't sure if it was going to be our night or not. But it didn't really hurt our car too much. Once I got to the front and into the clean air, I could sense the moment, I was going to win the ARLA championship!"
"That last restart was a little dicey and I wanted to play it smart and bring it home-- no finish means no points means no title! I wanted that accomplishment on my resume," Tyler commented.
What Tyler accomplished was historical: The greatest comeback in ARLA history!
"I can't say how I feel right now. I'm unable to put it into words. I will now always be introduced 2012 ARLA champion and nobody can ever take that away. It was nice to give Tonare a farewell championship. I'd like to thank them and Dino-Might and Phossil and all the guys at PSI!"
"I'll celebrate later. I'm dehydrated and going to go get an I-V," Tyler added as he hobbled off towards the infield care unit.
