This is great for Regan Smith. A Step up for him, in my opinion.

C'mon Junior, you know you want to bring Josh Wise back to drive the 7.

And I assume if he races at Road America again next year, Ron Fellows will be in the 88.

This was going to happen whether Jr. hired him or Rick brought a car for him this was going to come together.

Considering the Kansas finish, I wish Regan the best in 2013.

If the 88 is indeed the part time car and Danica's running part time...what's the point in keeping the 7 car's number 7?

Not necessarily. He still hasn't locked it up with RCR and they have good equipment.

I'm probably going to get laughed at this, but I want to add Michael Annett to that list, to be 5th in points with a team that started in January (Yes RPM has existed for a long time, but their Nationwide team was very last minute.), and he's close to his first win, so I reckon they'll will improve a lot next year.

No doubt Anett's improved...but he's going to have a hard time against the big 4 teams in the series.

Actually I would put Annett over Reagan for now, cause frankly the JRM equipment has been underpowered since the change to the new NWS COT.

Because before Wise got shuffled to SnP trash, he ran for Jr. in the 7 car part time, and didn't do half bad in it.

I don't know who John Wise is, but Josh Wise, as Rykia said, did run for JR Motorsports in the 7 when Danica wasn't running miles off the pace in that car last year. He outperformed Danica every time he hopped in it. Got several top tens((something Danica was never able to manage that year)) and would have won at Dover had the rain gotten worse. I was Disgusted he'd been shifted to that abomination of a team called The Motorparks Valet Service, so with Danican't gone, I'm hoping they'll bring him back as Junior apparently likes drivers who never tear the cars up. ((Which, AFAIK, Wise didn't wreck all the time.))

2 possibilities
1. split with Dale & Danica in the 88
2. New #

No, JRM is that laughably mediocre. I don't even think Reagan's special overachieving abilities can compensate for that teams mediocrity

Whitt's lacking speed in his 1st year and Danica has been all-around pathetic albeit the road course races. I think they have the speed and a guy like Regan will really drive that team towards the top.

Personally, I think that next year's title has Austin Dillon's name on it. They've been pretty close to Gibbs' level all year, and with only having one full-time team to worry about, every bit of the team focus should be on Austin. Sadler's the only one who I can see really fighting him for it. Bayne will be a distant third, much like Dillon's been this year, and considering where JRM is at, I think Smith will be fighting Buescher for fourth. Annett and Allgaier can duke it out for sixth, with Whitt likely in eighth.
