Now that i'm back...This race was surprisingly tame in the spring...though i remember the fall race last year being much more crash-filled then the spring one that year so...who knows.

Hopefully Falk puts Leicht back into the #33, and steal the ROTY from under Wise.
Re: 2012 Marty Smashy Cup Crashy II - Sprint Cup Series
Car#-Driver, Races Attempted, Races Run, Points, Total Points
Looks like if a rookie starts and parks, they get one (1) point, haven't seen rules posted in a few years
What NASCAR is showing on their race reports:
#33-Stephen Leicht, 85 rookie points [was added to standings after Darlington]
#26-Josh Wise, 71 rookie points
(thru 10-19-2012)
Since Spannerhead Mentioned it

Oh so it doesn't matter anyway if Leicht is in the car or not, he'll still get it. They should put him in it regardless.
Re: 2012 Marty Smashy Cup Crashy II - Sprint Cup Series
Vickers is in the race. Will we see the Vickers that screwed around in this race last year, or the Vickers that has had great runs in limited starts this year?

Mostly Brian Vickers has been running the World Endurance Championship this year.
Re: 2012 Marty Smashy Cup Crashy II - Sprint Cup Series
Didn't Falk say he would enter his son or nephew C.E. into the 33 this year?

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been cleared to run this weekend. AJ Allmendinger is back in the 51 this week, looks like Regan is getting the shaft unless someone like the 33 picks him up, but knowing that team it's likely to be either Cole Whitt or CE Falk in that car.

Fall Martinsville races can often tend to be wreck-filled races, I won't be surprised if this one will be.

Surely you can't be serious? Falk hasn't got anywhere NEAR enough experience to warrant getting a Cup ride.
As for ROTY, it's been an utterly horrible joke this year. All it's been is who parks later most of the time. Although seeing as Leicht has run the full race a few times, and Wise's parking and recent DNQ streak, Leicht'll get it even if he misses the rest of the season. ((Like someone said previously.))
I do hope they don't blame Reutimann or another backmarker for one of the $tars wrecking everyone again. A bit of bad judgement, yes, but it's not his fault Bowyer was a f***ing moron jacked up on 5 hour Energy and decided to try and kill everyone in a ten-mile radius.

I don't care who owns the darn thing. CE Falk is nowhere near ready for a Cup ride. He hasn't run ARCA or NNS, and has only run 5 races in trucks. Hasn't run anything like the K&N Pro Series either.

SS Motorsports Facebook page wrote:It's a tough pill to swallow, but our Martinsville plans have been cancelled. The finances aren't there to race, and we don't want to go and start & park.
It's moving to know that our fans are so willing to help our cause. Just to give you an idea of what we're up against...to attempt a cup race, it costs us around $25k. That's qualifying motor, entry, travel, ect. If we qualify, that cost jumps to over $90k. Just to break even, we need $30k in sponsors. I can't ask our fans to put up their own money. The best support we can receive from you is from buying a team shirt, spread the word about us, and support the sponsors that help fund this race team!!
It sucks that they can't go to Martinsville, but I like how they'd rather not attempt at all instead of start and parking.

I agree 100%. It's refreshing to see that they won't resort to stealing in order to make a living in NASCAR. Last team I recall not resorting to the patheticness of S&Ping is Keyed-Up Motorsports((Sadly we've not heard from them since they left. A pity... )) . Hopefully the 0 and Keyed Up's 90 can return soon and bump some of the park garbage out.

I think Dale Jr.'s decision to spend the last two races off was a good one, he's flying.

Whichever team Brian Vickers drives for needs to offer him a full-time ride next year...oh wait. It's Michael Waltrip that owns the team. Nevermind.

I believe that after today, its down to Jimmie and Keselowski. I refuse to count Keselowski out of this until the end of the race at Homestead or something disastrous happens at either Texas or Phoenix.

I'm not gonna count Kez out, either.
The problem is, we've seen this same song and dance before. Once Jimmie gets the point lead after Martinsville, nobody's been able to catch him.
Here's to hoping that Kez bucks that trend.

Cynic hat is on until Kez proves me wrong. He's blown a big gain (More like at least minimizing the damage today) on Jimmie twice and even know it's only 2 points. My faith in him is low
Race was kind of bleh. Not a lot of excitement for the most part....Jimmiewinslol. At the very least some good runs for Almirola and Labonte.

kinda agree with what you said at the beginning. I was sorta thinking the front running drivers like Johnson, Keselowski and Bowyer would get into an accident but instead Dale Jr. and Carl Edwards were wrecked by Hornish Jr.'s rather dumb driving, especially that late in the race.
Re: 2012 Marty Smashy Cup Crashy II - Sprint Cup Series
>Gordon fans thinking he got screwed out of a win just because he restarted on the outside.
Also Newman got into Hornish Jr. who got into Edwards who got into Earnhardt Jr., e.g. Martinsville train crash.
