Despite Road Atlanta set-backs; More happy with team's performance thus far
Road Atlanta was not kind to one-half of GLM's Lights program, but despite the incidents and More parking the #08 team for a race, he's happy where his group is right now.
"Both cars are running better than we thought. We started this year knowing that it was going to tough, but from what I've seen from especially the 18 this year. I think we can make something happen."

After talking with Lights officials, More ok's Durbin to run Carbondale
In a last minute decision, Jim More decided against pulling Ike Durbin from the #08 car for Carbondale. More had been seen over the weekend talking with the Lights official and ultimately that was the factor.
"They assumed me that well they appreciate me trying to handle this in house. It would be easier on them, so as of now Durbin will be running Carbondale."

Griffin Injury Report Released; Owner to drive #18 in Peoria event
This afternoon, GLM Owner, Jim More disclosed the full extent of the injuries his driver, Ryan Griffin, suffered after a crash during testing for the Formula Overdrive All-Star Event in Texas.
Griffin's car went airborne at about 220mph after cutting a right rear tire. Doctors said according to More that Griffin suffered a mild concussion and a clavicle fracture. In addition, the young driver also injured his left wrist and bruised a couple of ribs.
More had this to say about the injuries and the status of the #18 team.
"Well, Ryan, has a good road to recovery, but we'll make sure he gets back to 100%. As of right now, Griffin will not be running Peoria. I will take over the car for him. We hope to get him back for Mosport though."

{OCC: Since there isn't a 2013 silly season thread }
Griffin out of #18 at season's end?; Sulinder Pushanda to take over?
A local news station out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, has apparently stated that Great Lakes Motorsports could be removing Ryan Griffin from the #18 TM Lights entry at the end of the season.
According to the report, Griffin would move to the #28 GLM ARLA Elite Series entry and Formula Overdrive driver, Sulinder Pushanda (who already had signed an agreement to drive for the team in that series) would take over the #18 car next season.
While no one with the team would respond to attempts to contact them, More is expected to hold a press conference tomorrow about the possible move.

Durbin resigned for 2013; #18 driver TBD
In an interview with 103.5 FM, a Flint-based sports radio station, GLM's Jim More gave an update on what GLM's 2013 plans are.
"At this time, Ike [Durbin] has resigned with us for next season. He's done a great job in that #08 and we want him to remain with us for at least the next 3 years."
More was then asked about the future of the #18 car.
"Well, at this point, our goal is to get Ryan [Griffin] ready for Road Atlanta and get this team some top 10 finishes. Really at this point, Ryan is on a race to race basis. If performance picks up, I'll probably keep him in the #18 but I may still also move him. Nothing is certain yet."

(OCC: Decided to give my driver in out {in case his racing career doesn't work out, lol}. This is suppose to take place 3 days after the New York race.)
Race Car Driver Surprises Music Industry; Single Tops the Billboard Music Charts
For GLM driver, Ryan Griffin, the recent couple of days haven't been great at all. From the altercation with Andrea Kinasa, to being punched out by Roger Kendall, Griffin has not done what he wants to do in his TM Lights career.
But, he has something to be happy about. This morning the Billboard Hot 100 release their top 100 list and would you believe a race car driver has the #1 hit in the country right now?
It's true. Griffin, who plays guitar and sings in his own Beatles tribute band, has been working on an album to be released following ARLA's Rockford 200. As a way to test how the album might be received among fans, Griffin posted two songs he completed that are to be released on the album on his Facebook page.
The single that has topped the charts is titled "Friday Night" and is a rock and roll song that echoes the styles of music legend Buddy Holly. Does this mean Griffin is thinking of a change of career? According to the Michigan native, probably not.
"It's incredible. I didn't expect it to chart let alone top the charts. I love making music don't get me wrong, but my first love is racing and that is going to be my main focus right now," Griffin stated in a radio interview with a local Michigan radio station.
For those who are curious, the other single titled "Time for Living" did chart as well coming in in slot #47.

Griffin makes good on promise; Delivers cash to Kinasa and Kendall race shops
3 days after having his license suspended for his incident in New York, Ryan Griffin showed at the race shops of drivers Andrea Kinasa and Roger Kendall to personally deliver cash he promised to each to pay for their wrecked cars. Griffin according to reports also had a short conversion with Scott Morales and Kinasa but didn't speak with Kendall.
While Griffin didn't speak about the visit he did state that he is also going to pay a visit to James Davison as well and offer to pay for his wrecked car.
