I thought we got rid of this guy for good...
Paulie Harraka has a new home.
Not long after parting company with the Richie Wauters Motorsports Camping World Truck team, Harraka has announced plans to race for Go Green Racing on the NASCAR Nationwide Series, beginning Friday night at Richmond International Raceway.
Veteran crew chief Clinton Cram will be atop the pit box for Harraka this weekend, after serving as a consultant to Bill McAnally Racing in 2010, when Harraka drove for the team. Former NASCAR Truck Series champion Ted Musgrave will continue in his role as mentor and spotter for Harraka.
“Go Green Racing and Randy Hill Racing are excited to have a driver of Paulie’s caliber in our No. 08 car for Richmond," said Go Green Racing owner Archie St. Hilaire. "I’ve watched him win races for years, and believe that as a very analytical driver, he’ll pair up very well with Clinton. He certainly has a learning curve ahead of him, and Clinton is a great teacher. Pulling someone with Ted’s experience into the fold will certainly be an asset to us, as well. We hope to make this a strong building block for our team.”
“Building off of the first half of the season, we felt that this was the most logical next step for Paulie’s development," said Musgrave. "Paulie’s got the talent and work ethic, now we need to get him the experience. Our goals for the night will be simple; to learn a bit about the Nationwide car, to learn a bit about Richmond, and to finish in the Top 20.”
“I’ve watched a lot of races at Richmond, and have always been envious of the guys on the track," said Harraka. "It looks challenging and nuanced, which is my favorite kind of racetrack. It’s big enough to produce high speeds, but small enough that you’re almost always racing somebody for a position. I’m excited. Archie and his team have built a very respectable program, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to pilot his racecar.”
Friday night’s race will be Harraka’s second in the Nationwide Series, and first this season. Go Green Racing’s No. 39 and 08 Fords finished 23rd and 32nd there in the spring.

Replacing Watermelon Chastain when he's had pretty good runs in that car. Replace him with a guy who has had a habit of being slow/wrecking (and the guy who replaced put his car in the top 10)
WHYYYY?
WHYYYY?

Well actually, Chastain hasn't driven this car. It's the 39 in NNS that's been driven much of the year by Josh Richards and on Saturday by Matt Carter.

Btw, I realize why you got confused now. The team Chastain drives for in Trucks is SS Green Light Racing. Harraka will ra..crash for Go Green Racing.

Paulie Harraka logic:
Loses truck ride because of bad results.
Gets ride in Nationwide Series.
