IndyCar @ Baltimore
The semifinal race of the IndyCar season. Personally I feel this race will decide the championship more then Fontana will because I have a good feeling Honda will dominate that race quite mercilessly. In short, unless Power and Dixon both have problems in this race, it might be between the two of them at the end...
The race will be on NBC Sports for the U.S. viewers.
Here's a circuit map: http://www.indycar.com/~/media//Files/2012/14-BAL/14-BAL-TrackMap

Heading to this one, and will be with RHR (and most of Andretti). If I get some shots from the paddock, I'll post them.

RHR needs to Power to wreck or all hope is lost for an Andretti Autosport title.

Power has kind of become the master of choking away a title. Don't rule it out.

IndyCar Series: A change at Sarah Fisher Hartman racing for Baltimore this weekend: Josef Newgarden has been ruled out with an injured finger after that big crash at Sonoma. Subbing in will be Bruno Junqueira . How do we think he'll go?

Well his opposition is an Andretti car, There's no possible way he could choke it away....Right....Right? :SCynon wrote:Alta wrote:RHR needs to Power to wreck or all hope is lost for an Andretti Autosport title.

Junquiera ran back in the Champ Car days and runs races from time-to-time. We'll see how he does with that 67.

Power does have a clinch senario for this race. In order to clinch, he would need to win the race and either start Fontana or have Hunter-Reay finish worse than fifth and Castroneves finish worse than third at Baltimore.

I just hope Hinchcliffe can get a race without a failure or anything. I got a limited 500 print autographed poster of his at Toronto. Need a fancy frame for it now!

That seems to be the 2nd half of his season in general...He was awesome in the first half but ever since Iowa things have not been going Hinchy's way.Toblerone wrote:I just hope Hinchcliffe can get a race without a failure or anything.

It was a real disappointment at Toronto. The crowd was crazy for Hinch. Well he has make leaps and bounds even though he may not win a race. Something for my country to be proud of.

So there's a spot on the track where, if the car hits the spot full speed, it flies into the air. Here's video of it.

Update on the bump. Track officials are currently repaving that part of the track to make it even. They expect it done by 4:45 PM, and will run a 30 minute practice session to test it out.

Re: IndyCar @ Baltimore
Get you info before you post stuff like this. They are NOT repaving the track. They tried to grind down the bumps and that wasn't enough. They are gonna add tires that make a chicane for the 30 minute practice session. They will probably add a curb to make a chicane there for the race but for now they are using tires.flyingturns89 wrote:Update on the bump. Yes, they took out the little chicane they had before the start/finish line, and the pit road was changed so that there's not a wall pointing right out in the middle of the track.

Okay. These full course cautions are starting to irritate me now.

Is it that hard to push the cars off the track quickly while doing it under green?
EDIT: RHR couldn't have needed a win at a much better time. This championship battle is going to be something, hopefully for real this time.

Fantastic drive from RHR despite the race being kinda fail. Briscoe fell asleep on the final restart and won the race because Briscoe was busy waking up.

Great race despite a crashfest in the beginning, Lots of passing and fun.
Hunter-Reay will still hold the win despite any possible penalty incoming (Worst penalty i see is a grid penalty). Hunter-Reay saved himself today and most likely could lead to him winning it all. Who would've thought Hunter-Reay could lead Andretti to a championship.
Fontana next...Oh boy!
