Re: 2012 NASCAR Predictions
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
First-time winners: Wallmendinger, Blaney, Robby Gordon Motorsports
Most wins in a season: Kurt or Kyle Busch
Upset of the year: Dale Earnhardt Jr & Joey Logano win a race
Disappointments: Jr, Danica, Kasey Kahne, 3 of the 4 plate races, Kentucky, everyone who thinks Jr will win the Chase, ESPN commentators, FOX commentators, TNT commentators, ABC commentators, SPEED commentators, every pit reporter, NASCAR's consistency, MWR, Trevor Bayne, Jack Roush,
Best race of 2012: Watkins Glen
Worst race of 2012: Cookie Cutters
Driver of the year: Kevin Harvick
Reject of the year: Danica Patrick, ROTY, whoever is in charge of calling "Debris" cautions
Champion: A Penske driver
Runner-up: Jimmie Johnson
NASCAR Nationwide Series:
First-time winners: Austin Dillon, Jacques Villeneuve
Most wins in a season: Some cuppie
Upset of the year: A Non-Cup driver wins a race
Disappointments: Danica Patrick
Best race of 2012: Montreal
Worst race of 2012: The rest
Driver of the year: Some cuppie, Austin Dillon
The rest: Who Cares?
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series:
Best race of 2012: Rockingham, regardless of how it actually plays out
The rest: Who Cares?
I'm going to add my own categories for the heck of it. Drivers to watch, either for vast improvement of occasional upsets, Most expected moment(s), for obviously obvious reasons, and I'm Calling it, less likely things I think will happen
Drivers to watch (all series): Nelson Piquet, Ricky Carmichael, Ricky Stenhouse, Austin Dillon, Marcos Ambrose, every former open wheel driver, Danica Patrick (not that we have a choice )
Most Expected (all series): Way too much Danicamania, way too much Jr-mania, Ryan Newman will crash out of 3 of the plate races, Kyle Busch's immaturity will cause him to do poorly in the chase, Jimmie Johnson will rape the field and break 60 career wins, Robby Gordon will inexplicably crash into people throughout the season, NASCAR will penalize a start-&-park team for something it lets Hendrick blatantly get away with, more two-by-two drafting, Pocono is even more boring at 400 miles
I'm Calling it (all series): Someone flips at a non-plate track, Danica nearly wins and that overshadows the upset winner, Austin Dillon wins some race at Daytona in the #3 and nobody will shut up about it,

Re: 2012 NASCAR Predictions
What will Happen in 2012
- Dario will win INdyCar Title (again)
-Vettel wins 3rd straight f1 title.
- Danica will get WAY TOO MUCH air time and she will get all the attention at the Daytona 500
- We are desisted to have a very boring indy 500, this year might be it.
- JOsh wise will run UnContested for ROTY unless Cole Whitt decides he wants to run or David Starrs Team goes Full Time or Rusty decides he wants steven to fail badly in cup
I'll have the UNOFFICIAL DAYTONA 500 Entry List Up Later.

Re: 2012 NASCAR Predictions
OK here are my predictions for Nascar 2012.
NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
First-time winners: AJ Allmendinger, long shots here but Aric Almirola, Dave Blaney & David Gilliland
Most wins in a season: Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon, Carl Edwards & Kevin Harvick (each with 4)
Upset of the year: not sure if there will be one, but if there is one... Danica Patrick winning at Daytona (hoping its not the 500, but who knows)
Disappointments: MWR (even with Bowyer & Martin, I see them struggling right out of the get go), Front Row (same goes with them, especially with Ragan)
Best race of 2012: This is always a toss-up, especially after all the great races last year, but right now for me. The 500.
Worst race of 2012: Again another toss-up, but right now for me its gotta be Fontana.
Retirees at season end: I don't see any calling it after this year.
Driver of the year: Either Kevin Harvick or Carl Edwards
Reject of the year: Either David Ragan or Joey Logano
Most likely to lose ride in the middle of the season: Joey Logano (unless if he breaks out)
Champion: This one's a toughy but... Kevin Harvick. He's been there the last 2 years, and I think this is his year.
Runner-up: Carl Edwards
NASCAR Nationwide Series
First-time winners: Austin Dillon, Danica Patrick, Brenden Gaughan, Cole Whitt, Michael McDowell & Parker Kligerman (in reality, about half these picks will pull it off)
Most wins in a season: seems obvious... Kyle Busch (at least 5-10). For Nationwiders only, I say Elliott Sadler (at least 3)
Upset of the year: Either one of the other female drivers (Jennifer Jo Cobb or Johanna Long) wins before Danica or Travis Pastrana ends up winning a race.
Disappointments: Rick Ware Racing, Jeremy Clements & Robert Richardson
Best race of 2012: Montreal or Road America
Worst race of 2012: Fontana or Richmond
Retirees at season end: Morgan Shepard (it's been 20+ years over-due)
Driver of the year: Either Elliott Sadler, Austin Dillon or Justin Allgaier
Reject of the year: Ricky Stenhouse, Brian Scott or Brad Sweet
Most likely to lose ride in the middle of the season: Brian Scott
Champion: Elliott Sadler
Runner-up: Trevor Bayne
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
First-time winners: Ty Dillon, Joey Coulter, Parker Kligerman, James Buescher, long shots are Tim George, Cale Gale, Max Gresham & Dakoda Armstrong.
Most wins in a season: Johnny Sauter (i'd say 4)
Upset of the year: John Wes Townley wins a race.
Disappointments: Justin Lofton, Max Gresham & John Wes Townley
Best race of 2012: I'm going out on a limb here but... Rockingham.
Worst race of 2012: Either Chicago or Kentucky 1
Retirees at season end: More than likely none.
Driver of the year: Johnny Sauter
Reject of the year: Max Gresham
Most likely to lose ride in the middle of the season: John Wes Townley
Champion: Johnny Sauter
Runner-up: James Busecher
That about does it.
