Maldonado wrecks Hamilton, Vettel & Grosjean retire & Schumacher & Webber finish 3RD & 4TH after pitting late & starting 12th & 19th. Keep the good races coming F1. Who had Alonso (I had Schumacher)

Maldonado must get some sort of penalty for that incident with Hamilton with 2 laps left. I know that Hamilton did force him out wide a bit, but there was no need for Maldonado to retaliate like that at all. He could have at least backed off the throttle and pass him later on but that was completely uncalled for.

And also, it cost Hamilton valuable points in the Championship as well because he is fighting for the title. He should just go and kick Maldonado's Ass now because that was insanely stupid.

Just finished watching it. Alonso becomes the first repeat winner this season. Schumacher earns his first podium since 2006. Hamilton and Maldonado take each other out fighting for third. Vettel reties while leading. With Hamilton and Vettel not finishing, Alonso now leads 20 points over Mark Webber. And this fantastic season continues.

He did. He was penalized 20 seconds, moving him from 10th to 12th.

Post by Rykia on Sun Jun 24, 2012 2:24 pm

I don't think that was Maldonado's fault IMO, Hamilton pushed him off the track, and then started to move up the track to take the corner. Maldonado then tried to move back on the track, and Hamilton turned left to take the turn. I don't really think it was either one of their faults, but it is what it is.

Good race, glad for Alonso, though he probablt shouldn't have won, I think Vettel had it.

Maldonado - Hamilton wreck was a combination of both of their parts, Hamilton sent Maldonado off the track where he would've had to cut the turn to avoid an incident and Maldonado just pretty much drove into sidepod of Hamilton. Almost even but i leaning more the blame towards Hamilton.

Another great race for F1! Sadly our little different winner's trend is broken, but good win to Alonso none-the-less scoring a huge hometown win. We still have our good race streak though. Very Happy

There are some drivers that might win a race later this Season:

Kimi Raikkonen
Romain Grosjean
Sergio Perez

Don't forget: Hamilton and Paldonado were fighting for a spot on the podium, and as competitive as F1 has been this year, any podium is a good one, so I think in this case, it was just hard racing.

It's not even the fact that a Ferrari finished behind Pic, it's the fact that Pic finished 15th on the lead lap.

Even with getting damage during the race, there should be NO WAY in hell a Ferrari, while still running, should be finishing BEHIND a Marussia.

It's post-2009 Massa behind the wheel, though.
