It's still 6 days away, but they are calling for rain this Sunday in Barcelona... this could be yet another fun race

Correct me if I'm wrong, but was 1996 the last time the Spanish GP was a rain race?
Re: Spanish Grand Prix

I believe so. Clearly remember the race too because I had gotten up in the morning to watch ESPN, they had in their opening montage about how "It NEVER rains in Spain", and the next scene they cut to, it's an absolute torrential downpour at the track

Make note that American driver Alexander Rossi will be practicing for Caterham this Friday in place of Heikki Kovalainen. He will be the first American driver in almost 5 years to participate in a GP weekend.

Get. Off. The. Stage. Now.
Anyways, an American driver in the field? I'm surprised that they could find one good enough for Bernie.

^ This ^
And it's what you say (as the team), but at least a team with potential, so if he were to ride for Caterham next season, I wouldn't fret too much, not like if he were to go to Marussia or HRTrash

An update on the weather for Sunday, now forecast says it's supposed to be nice.
Oh well, if Bahrain could produce a decent race, then I'm sure Catalyuna can produce an even better one

If I do all-nighters nearly every weekend for NASCAR, you have to do the same for F1.Alta wrote:F1 is 4 for 4. (Say that 5 times fast)

Re: Spanish Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton and PASTOR MALDONADO on the front row?! These two have a history with separate incidents last year in Monaco and qualifying in Belgium.

Re: Spanish Grand Prix
Well, not just yet. Hamilton is apparently under investigation for stopping on the track because he had a very low amount of fuel, and apparently, the FIA needs one liter to sample for scrutineering.

similar thing happened to him in Canada 2012, but he didn't lose his pole position though.

Lewis Hamilton has been excluded from qualifying, and will start at the back or from pit lane. PASTOR MALDONADO will be ON POLE for tomorrow's Spanish GP!

well that pole is even more of a fluke then the pole hulkenburg got at brazil in 2010
Re: Spanish Grand Prix
Hamilton will start from last place. You never know, it's possible he can work his way up the order from there, and of course we all know how he and Maldonado get along, so it could be interesting.
Re: Spanish Grand Prix
Maldonado on pole. We're gonna have an Australia 2002 in the first turn.

Maybe this was just part of the Formula 1 rule book. I don't think he is moaning about how he thinks the officials are racist to him, because I don't think we need a reminder of how well his Season went last year, not!

My post was obvious sarcasm about the racist thing, I thought I would just bring it up because it's pretty funny. Actually I want another reminder of how his season went last year, maybe not you, but me? Yes.
