Best Races Thread

Not sure if this has been done in the past, but let's give this a shot.

It's pretty self-explanatory. Basically list races you believe were the best of all-time/deserves a second watch/something from the past/underrated/awesome/ etc.

Can be from any series. Hell maybe your local track put on something better then most racing today.

Some of mine:

1996 Road America CART (Cynon shot me the whole race a few years back, Quite the entertaining race.)
2011 Canadian GP (Entertaining race overall. Duel with Button and Vettel at the end)
2011 Southern 500 (Good race all around, Will also remember this race for in the last 10 laps my power shut up 3 times lasting about 10 seconds each time, Race where Regan Smith silenced the Talladega screwjob)
1992 Hooters 500 (The best race in the history of Nascar or the best race in the history of Nascar)
2011 Bathurst 1000 (First time watching the whole thing live, Entertaining race with a great duel between Tander and Lowndes at the end)
2011 Indy 500 (Great race with craziness in the closing laps. Leading to a moment that will be replayed on the highlight reels for ever.)
2002 Daytona 500 (Remember it being a pretty good race, with brains leaving the bodies of the driver with about 10 to go)
2011 Daytona 500 (Crash-filled, but entertaining....With an upset winner in the end)
2012 F1 China (Amazing race with a 2nd through 12th dueling for everything in the last 20 laps)
2012 F1 Malaysia (Entertaing race with a customer car almost defeating the factory car)


Specific races:

Montreal in general has always been crazy with F1 and Nationwide
Nascar road course racing has been a favorite of mine.
Always liked the Champ Car races at Michigan
Same with Indycar at Chicagoland

1998 Bud Shootout... only because that was my favorite drivers win on a restrictor plate track (Rusty Wallace)

People will disagree with this but I think the 2006 Bathurst 1000 was good. Not because of the wrecks, but because of the emotion of the event & the fact that Lowndes won it made it even more emotional

2008 Hantz Group 200 - Underdogs still have a chance in this world.
1998 Exide 400 - Parents saw this race live, but not me.... ;-;

2007-2011 Montreal races, they were all great you have to admit.
2011 Road America
2003 Sandown 500, all the people that were frontrunners back in 2003 in V8 Supercars had at least 1 problem that happened in that race.

Yes for Brock, it is about a month before the weekend. He died on the Friday of the same week Steve Irwin died. Ambrose collided with Murphy in 2005, as Ambrose was in the Truck series in 2006.

If you're not a F1 fan, give the races from this season a try. Lots of action and lots of unpredictability. Hell, Pastor Maldonado won. That tells you something

I was at the track too, but in Murrary's. Within 3 years, I was at the track where a driver had died twice. In 2008 Scott Darley (Sprint Cars) died at Parramatta City Raceway/Sydney Speedway, and I was in pit exit waiting to go out for my first feature race
