The Avengers movie... Empty The Avengers movie...

... just didn't live up to the hype. It's pretty unmemorable and almost instantly forgettable. There were a few hilarious moments, but over all it was just another mind numbing special effects laden turkey. I found it to be rather boring, but I tend to disconnect from CGI battles for some reason. The original Superman movie and Jurassic Park are movies with special FX that worked where it enhances your experience. But these huge GGI extravaganzas like Van Helsing are just, to put it simply, terrible. A real letdown.

You seem to be the only one who thinks this. Everyone, and I mean Everyone I've seen go to this movie loved it. Are you sure you weren't watching "Battleship"?

I'm sorry, Snake, but I have to agree with Mother here. Then again this might be a movie where either you love it or hate it. One where there is no in-between.

I just came back from seeing it and I thought it was a very good movie. It didn't beat Deathly Hallows or Hunger Games by a long shot, but it was certainly better than anything Marvel's produced so far.

I loved the first Ironman movie but thought the 2nd sucked. Captain America is a hero I really love, but I thought the movie was average at best. The Hulk movies, both of them, were like Van Helsing with CGI battling CGI and I thought both were below average. Thor, well, I didn't like it when I saw it the first time when it was called "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe."

Spider-Man 1 was slightly above average, Spider-Man 2 was one of the best movies in the super hero genre ever made. The Fantastic 4 movies sucked. Some of the X-Men movies were okay. I actually liked First Class though.

My daughter thought Avengers didn't live up to the hype either, so I'm not the only one.
