Match updates from Day 1:

Huntsman vs Wasp

Huntsman with a large axe takes on the sawblade of Wasp. Huntsman smackes the axe around for a little while before finally moving out of the gate. Wasp gets a good strike or two and then begins wacking the floor randomly. Wasp suddenly stops and doesn't move getting counted out while Huntsman inmitades the countdown while wailing on Wasp. Huntsman wins by knockout in about 1:30.

Huntsman vs Last Rites

The axe vs the high speed blade of Last Rites. Huntsman taunts Last Rites before the match by smacking the ground with his blade a couple times. After the match starts Huntsman runs to the corner and hides. Last Rites eventally strikes a few times in the corner. Huntsman has stalled and taps out of the contest. Last Rites win in about 45 seconds.

Vendetta Jr vs Tiny Terror

Antweight fight. It's a shoving fight for the most part as Tiny Terror controls Vendetta for most of the match. Vendetta backs off the table and Tiny Terror wins the match

Fury Jr vs Tiny Terror

Fury Jr gets a few shots in with the saw, before Tiny Terror starts pushing with the wedge. Tiny Terror runs him into the wall and flips Fury over. Tiny Terror pushes Fury around for a little while longer before pushing Furyoff the table. Tiny Terror wins.

Fury Jr vs Tomahawk

More Antweight goodies. Fury Jr seem to control most of the match as every hit Tomahawk gets it he gots flown backwards. Match goes to the judges Fury Jr comes out the winner.

Vendetta Jr vs Hedgehog

Vendetta pushed Hedgehog around and Hedgehog's saw comes off. Vendetta traps Hedgehog in the corner for a bit before finally realizing him. Vendetta pushes him around for a bit and then pushes Hedgehog off the table taking himself with him. Vendetta is declared the winner.

Besta vs Jailbreaker

Middleweight fight. Besta gets a good shot in early and it seems to damage Jailbreaker quite a bit. Besta then hits Jailbreaker again sending Jailbreaker soaring through the air! Jailbreaker is out after that hit. Besta wins in about 30 seconds.

Federal M.T. Vs Big Boy(Couldn't hear the name and possibly confusing the two, spinnner vs saw blade/wedge)

Big Boy gets it a little bit of a shot before M.T Gets underneath him and sends him spinning on his top mauler style. Big Boy on his lid giving M.T. the win in about 20 seconds.

Question Wedge vs Jubibot (Juilo and Punching Bag) Maybe incorrect on the bladed bots name.

Wedge is just a wedge while Jubibot is multi-bot with Juilo being a spinning blade and Punching Bag being a flame thrower. Juilo gets a shot in on Question Wedge while Punching Bag runs around with his flame thrower. Wedge runs into the wall which allows Punching bag to get under him and heats Wedge up a bit. Another good shot by Julio and Wedge burns him up some more. Question Wedge taps out giving the win to Jubibot in under a minute.

Pudim vs Awesome Face bot (Going off video upload on a few of these, The owner of the video only puts the winner) Antweight's again.

Pudim sporting a trollface as wall as full body drum against Awesome face's Spinning blade. Pudim gets a couple good shots which stops the spinner of Awesome face. Pudim them gets a huge shot on tossing him across the table. Electronics hanging out of Awesome face and is counted out while Pudim manages to get him stuck. Pudim wins.

Kippa vs Unnamed Bot

It's a staredown for the most part until Kippa gets a shot in and flips unamed bot over. Kippa knocks part of the wall off. Kippa hit him again but stalls for a bit. Both bots make minimal movement until the match ends and goes to the judges. Kippa wins.

Carrapato Carrapato vs T-Rex 2.0

Carrapato gets a few shots in with the full body spinner but T-rex is able to push him around a bit. T-rex smacks into Carrapato sending him across the table and against the wall. T-Rex does it again and sends back to the other side of the table. T-Rex slams into Carrpato flipping him over and getting the knockout win. T-rex wins.

Quagadougou vs Orion (Day 1 still i believe)

Middleweight fun. Quagdougou keeps lifting itself of the ground which will cause his wedge to have trouble getting underneath Orion. Most of the match is Orion getting Quagdougou. Orion flips Quag over when Quag tries to go with the spin in circles tatic. Time runs out. Orion wins on a judge's decision.

Other Notes.

Robotic Weightlifting competiton under way
Two saw bots faced off in combat, The bigger of the two getting the victory in a pretty one sided match.

Yeah, it just needs to beat someone due to being just flimsy enough to lift their front wheels off the ground. Laughing

It's good to see that Team Toad and the Vladmeisters are still competing! Does the whole arena still shake once Vlad drives someone across the ring and into the boards? Very Happy

It's also good to see that Last Rites is still being ... well, Last Rites. I think he's in the Combat Robot Hall of Fame.

BTW, if we're going to get into a Battlebots vs. Robot Wars debate here, I'll just remind everyone that three American machines got voted in unanimously (IIRC they are Biohazard, Ziggo and The Master), and only one British machine has (Razer). That is all. Very Happy

For those that don't know, Battlebots is the American version of Robot Wars, only there was no pit, you couldn't throw someone out of the ring, and no house robots, but instead you had giant hammers in the corners. So yeah, there were kind of house robots in Battlebots, you just had to bring the other guy there and to keep him there. There were also four tournaments instead of one.

For the UK viewers that never saw Battlebots, Killerhurtz, Razer, Panic Attack, and Suicidal Tendencies all competed in Battlebots. Panic Attack got DESTROYED by FrenZy, and Killerhurtz showed he was much better than he appeared to be on Robot Wars. Suicidal Tendencies fought BioHazard, nuff said how that went... and the only fight of Razer's I've seen was when he fought Voltarc and couldn't pierce the armor and subsequently got his ass kicked.

For my fellow Americans that never saw the British Robot Wars, you remember Tentomushi, the awkward but surprisingly competent ladybug machine driven by a 14 year old girl? Yeah, she went over to Robot Wars with the same machine and owned.

The more I go back and watch Tentomushi, the more I realize ... it wasn't as bad as I thought it was! It gave Dr. Inferno Jr. a run for his money!

More updates out of Robogames: Day 1 - Day 2

Spartan vs Ragin Scotsman

Spartan with the flipper and Scotsman with the wedged flamethrower. Scotsman starts shooting flames at Spartan until Spartan gets a quick flip on Scotsman. Scotsman then pushes Sparta around the ring and Sparta is not moving timeout is called and it ends there. Ragin Scotsman appears to be the winner

Original Sin vs Son of Ziggy

Flipper vs Wedge. Original Sin gets under Son of Ziggy a few times as the front of Ziggy is to high off the ground. Sin controls the match for a little longer before catching a skirt on the arena floor allowing Ziggy to get his lifter in for a shot. Original Sin then gets under Ziggy and runs him into the wall a few times. Son of Ziggy loses a chain and is rammed into the wall again by Original Sin (Obviously not the flipper as it is still working). Original Sin continues to run him into walls before Ziggy gets another shot to get under him but misses. Flipping Arm on Son of Ziggy appears damaged or won't close all the way as Original Sin continues to drive him into the walls. The flipping arm assembly falls apart as Original Sin continues to take him from wall to wall. Original Sin rams him into the wall a few more times before it goes to a judge decision. Original Sin wins.

Vendetta Jr vs Skeet Skeet

Wedge vs Spinner. Vendetta is able to get underneath Skeet and push him into the wall, that is until he backs away and allows Skeet to get up to full speed and hit him which shoots him across the table. Vendetta attempts to push Skeet off the table but takes two good shots for trying. Skeet in another shot in on Vendetta but is dangerous close to falling off the table after the shot. Vendetta then goes for it and pushes Skeet Skeet of the table. Vendetta Jr wins.

Vendetta Jr vs Nano Raptor

Wedge vs Wedge. Vendetta gets under Nano Raptor and pushes him around the table. He drives Raptor towards the edge and Nano Raptor spins off the table. Vendetta Jr wins without breaking a sweat.

Vendetta Jr vs Catapiller

Wedge vs Scoop. Vendetta gets underneath Catapiller and drives them both off the table. Vendetta Jr wins in around 10 seconds.

Fury Jr Vs Nano Raptor

Wedge vs Wedge with a blade. It's a merry-go-round ride into Nano Raptor pushes Fury off the table. Nano Raptor wins in around 15 seconds.

Fury Jr vs Pico Touro

Wedge with a blade vs Spinning Drum. Touro gets in a decent early shot on Fury. Touro gets in a few minor shots before Fury strikes back. Back and forth until the top of Touro begins to sheer off. Fury then hits Touro hard flipping Touro over. Touro taps out as the countdown reaches 1. Fury Jr wins.

Sumo bots competition finishes up

1st: Eye-Bot of the US
2nd: Gregbot of the US
3rd: Sharkley of the US

Team Rolling Robots gets a 1-2 finish for the team
