Cleveland Grand Prix Qualifying Format Revealed

Post by Syzygy on Fri Apr 13, 2012 1:22 am

It was revealed today by PCC Cup President John Kowalski that the starting line-up for the legendary Cleveland Grand Prix would be determined through four steps:

1. A two-hour long session (3 sessions, each 40 minutes long), in which the fastest five cars will be awarded positions 1-5 on the grid.

2. Immediately following session 1, a one-hour session (3 sessions, each 20 minutes long), will be held, in which the fastest five cars will be awarded positions 6-10 on the grid.

3. Three pre-qualifiers will then be held, each 25 laps in length. The top 14 cars from each of these qualifiers will be sent to...

4. The main qualifier. The top-32 from the main qualifier advance to the Cleveland Grand Prix, and the bottom ten will go home.
