Good Sam Roadside Assistance Carolina 200 presented by Cheerwine
For the first time since 2004, NASCAR will be making their return to the famed Rockingham Speedway with the Camping World Truck Series.
Any predictions on how this race will turn out?

It'll be boring because Kasey Kahne will lead practically flag-to-flag. Second on back might get interesting, though.

All of the NASCAR races, including this one, are likely to be boring. Meanwhile in Long Beach, CA and Shanghai, China...

Why do you all think this race will be boring. Jon Wes Townley will likley be ijn it, and most of these drivers have never been on rockingham before.
any chance we see Jamie Mcmurray since the race is on sunday?

Maybe it might be exciting but i remember the ARCA races being quite lackluster. (Then again it was ARCA so that happens at all but Daytona and Talladega, also the field in trucks is quite noobish)
Will see what happens but it isn't farfetched to say one of the Open wheel races might be the better race of the weekend.

If the F1 race is wet then it will be way better than any of the other races this weekend.

Brian Weber. I remember him from all the back to 2002 for some reason...
Re: Good Sam Roadside Assistance Carolina 200 presented by Cheerwine
Never thought I'd be saying this, but welcome back Rock! Hopefully there will be some good racing, interested to see how things work out the first race back. Props to NASCAR bringing back a proper race track rather then adding another worthless date at sat Kentucky or Texas. Who knows, we may see something worthwhile.
A NASCAR race (modern day) I'm actually looking foward to? Say it ain't so!

JR Fitzpatrick will not be running this weekend at Rockingham and won't be running at Kansas either. Grant Enfinger is in place of Fitzpatrick for Rockingham, however the driver for Kansas is unknown.

It's pretty interesting to watch these trucks slipping and sliding around the track and still being able to race each other for position.

Piquet running so well all race, then gets hit with a too fast exiting penalty.

Hmm.....Montoya had the same thing happen in a big race at Indy. Piquet in a big race at Rockingham.
What do Montoya and Piquet have in common? Hmmmmm...

Decent race that was buzzkilled by a Nascar screwjob on Piquet. Why do they care about letting top-tier drivers win in their FEEDER SERIES.
Piquet had the race locked debris caution or not but Nascar had to screw himself over.

Wait ignore what I just said, because Kasey Kahne just won. Wish Piquet jr could score his maiden win soon, because he definitely fits in better with NASCAR than he did in Formula 1.

And Nascar ruins another decent race by essentially giving Kahne the win. At least there's still the IndyCar race.

Nelson Piquet, Jr.'s crime: not being Kasey Kahne in a season where Kasey Kahne has yet to win a NASCAR race.
Anybody know what the pit road speed limit was for today?

Why would NASCAR bring this track back? Leave it in the past with the inbred rednecks that tarnished the image of this sport. I think NASCAR should just take all tracks in the Southeast except Daytona off the schedule. "People" who live in the Carolinas, Georgias, Tennessee, etc. are why the world hates America. Disgusts me.
Stay classy Racing-reference commentators.
Actually I could start an entire thread fro dumb things i've read on that site.

He had the second stall, the first stall was used by camera crews, making it possible to actually break the speed limit before the exit, assuming the speed limit is low enough.
