If your driver is a certified veterinarian, then you can put the VET sticker on.

Former Model Nikki Curtis Joins Team Saar USA
Team Saar USA announced that Nikki Curtis, 23, of Louisiana would join the team in the #11 car, which will carry sponsorship from GoDaddy and Playboy. Curtis has a fairly unique background, comprising of late models and fashion modeling, the latter of which she gave up last season in order to pursue a racing career.
"I'm excited to be a part of the Team Saar USA program." Curtis said.
"It's going to be a good season but I have a lot of learning to do."
Curtis has raced in several high-profile late model races in the Southeast, but has only managed to find victory lane once. She is well-known for her media personality which helped bring significant attention to southern late model racing.
Curtis will be the first female to ever drive a car for Team Saar USA in the team's 27 year history. Curtis will drive car #11, a number that has been mostly associated with Ethan Everett until this season. Everett, who has run #11 for a fair part of his career, said that it was his choice to switch from #11 to #3 for the 2012 Goodyear Presents the ASCC Wrangler Cup Series season.
"The 11 meant something to me because Team Saar USA gave the number to me. I will never forget that." Everett said in the team's press release.
"But number 3 means more to me personally. My first ever cars were number 3, and 3 is important to my faith."
The number styling on Everett's car is similar to that on the jersey's of Everett's favorite NFL team, the New England Patriots.
Curtis has run #11 in most of her previous late model races and will take part in several miles of ASCC tests at Martinsville in March.

Re: 2012 ASCC Silly Season Thread + Other Stuff
Driver signups will go as follows;
- Post a driver here.
- If I like that driver, I will throw them into an existing car at random. You can say if you'd prefer to be in (or not in) a particular car (like, say, you want to be in a Lenard). Number requests may be granted but don't count on it.
- I'll start to label which cars will be parkmobiles and which are part-time.
- You can post an entire team if you want but those are much less likely to get in unless I know for a fact you can paint your own cars.

Astro Racing to jump into ASCC
The Alabama-based late model team Astro Racing has announced that they have secured enough funding to field a single-car operation in the ASCC.
The driver is expected to be 28 year-old Alabama native Gary Stuart, who is Astro Racing's lead driver in the short track ranks. The team is looking to purchase a Lenard and have registered #05. Stuart has been unwilling to mention anything about this news, but Astro Racing owner Carl Stoddard expects the team to complete every race on the schedule.

(OOC: I'm honestly unsure if Cynon is parodying Danica or Maryeve Dufault in this one. Maybe a bit of both?)
ChargerTec Approved for ASCC
ChargerTec Racing received word late Wednesday evening that they would be granted one entry in the ASCC. Joe Olenick will be the primary driver, with Carl Sarris as the reserve. Olenick will drive the #5 Bolden, with sponsorship to be announced.
Although Modern Apizza was rumored to sponsor the car, it was announced that the deal would likely not go through.

I'll just steal Rykia's format here...sorry Rykia, feeling a bit lazy today.
# - Driver - Sponsor - Manufacturer - Team
77 - <open to a non-Magus978 driver> - The Poultry Shack - Lenard - MRD Motorsports
I've actually completed the car...and I will be posting it on EFR momentarily. Even if I don't get in, it's a nice experience to get painting again.

I'd imagine it would be quite dangerous to have a name close to "Michael Moore" and be in the ASCC.

To be honest, I didn't even think about what I assume your thinking about until after I submitted Jr. in the VSCC for 2011. But, when I first used the names, I wasn't even thinking about it.

Re: 2012 ASCC Silly Season Thread + Other Stuff
Lester Racing has attempted to make a foray into the ASCC. The team has taken it's equipment from the VSCC, as well as a few other leagues, and shifted it's focus over to the ASCC. They will keep their CRL operations going, however, that may be the only other league the team will compete in.
Lester Racing, Saar Carolina (1 car)
#13: Casey Lester, 24, (New York), Pizza Hut, (Veteran?: No)
If there's anything I need to add, let me know and I'll add it, but I think that's it. I would be happy to volunteer a driver to drive for another user's team if they don't have a driver to use as well.

25-year old Atlanta Native Charles Ricketts is saying that he wants to get a drive in the ASCC in 2012. He has been a champion in a short track stock car Series in the past 2 years, having started racing in stock cars since 2005.

Navycook:
Jason Richardson will drive the #2 Navy car. Picked the sponsor for you for obvious reasons. Stephen Gill will drive the #17 Dollar General car.
Tanner:
Darren Moore was given the U.S. Army car I made for Manny Brown. I moved Brown to the #23 Pennzoil ride.

Americana Racing - Saar Carolina
70 - Tommy Metzger, 22, Louisville, OH
Thomas J. "Tommy" Metzger was born in Ohio, but moved to Kentucky in his late teens to persue a racing career. He brings major sponsorship from the Boy Scouts of America.
---
If there's a ride open for him at an existing then
you can put him there. Louisville is a small, very christain, Americana like town where my dad grew up. There is a hardware store there called "Metzgers" so that is where I got the name.

I have updated my post on page 2. Me and gwoodard41 have reached an agreement to have one of his drivers drive for MRD Motorsports, with him retaining all rights to the character.

You don't need to repost your entries or edit them unless you want to, there's a few good ones still on Page 1 that I didn't put in a car yet.

Re: 2012 ASCC Silly Season Thread + Other Stuff
Tellez breaks silence, heads to ASCC
With all the recent changes in the TM Master Cup Series, TM Lights and ARLA, and well-known Master Cup drivers defecting to the ASCC, one driver needed to take a break from this madness... that driver being Louis Tellez.
Tellez, the recently turned 22 year old from Massachusetts, has been in the dark since leaving Team Saar USA following the 2011 TM Lights season. He needed the time off to decide where he was gonna race in 2012 and today, he's come out to say that he's joining his defecties to the ASCC as well. Here's what he told the media:
"I'm proud of this decision. Honestly I looked over my options and this made the most sense, I didn't want to go all over the world week in, week out and deal with those road courses that I know i'd suck at, which seems ironic that my best finishes last season came on road courses. Plus, those cars just don't have the same race car feel like the ASCC cars do, I've kept up with the TM Master Cup so far, and I personally think CM's got something in those cars to make them THAT good. The ARLA cars are too dirt tracky for me, though I'd keep that option open for any future plans."
He also explained about his plans moving forward with which car and team he'd drive for:
"I've got my options, but I look first and foremost at the Saar teams. If they're looking for a driver to fill one of those rides, i'm more than willing to drive for them and do the best I can to get a good solid finish. I'm also willing to go back to drive a Lenard or even drive a Bolden, like I said i've got my options open, hell i'm more than willing to drive for my own team. I'm a fan of racing, hence the reason why i'm more than willing to show people that I might have what it takes to do well race in and race out with drivers like Tony Durbin, Palmer Stiles, Lorne Roth and even my fellow New Englander Ethan Everett. So if anyone, and I mean anyone, is willing to give me a shot, i'll take it. I'm ready."
Here's my entry (pending approval, of course)

Re: 2012 ASCC Silly Season Thread + Other Stuff
(If there are any spots left available. If not, then ignore this.)
Car Number: Whatever's available. Bolden or Lenard team only, though.
Driver Name: Gina Todd.
Age: 34
Hometown: Lomax, IL
Sponsor: Carver City Steakhouse
Vet: No.
Experience: Mainly drives late models. Former crew chief for retired TMMC driver Jeff Trummel, of Mitchell & Sons.
(Lomax is in the more 'redneck' part of Illinois, and I figured we could use at least one Gretchen Wilson style "Redneck Woman" in the field. I can't paint though, so someone would have to make the car. I picked the CCS car to make that a bit easier, since all it would need is a change of manufacturer and number from the one that comes with the game.)
