- Spoiler:
- Kaslow furious with Watts
Phillip Kaslow was non too pleased with going double DNF in the first 2 races of the season. But was more dis-pleased with the way Jordan Watts ran his car into Kaslow's car that was already dead on the track. " My car was already dead on the racetrack, for a good amount of time. He had enough time to go around, but as to why he decided to confirm my day was over is beyond me. He could have killed me or himself. He needs to rethink whether he belongs in racing or not.""

- Spoiler:
- Nash Down But Not Out After Early Wreck at Rockingham
Thomas Nash had a decent qualifying run, slotting him 18th on the grid. However, he was not able to take advantage of that starting position, because on lap 8, he was involved in a wreck that was, and at the same time, wasn't his own doing.
"I think we might have cut down a tire. It must have happened after the race started, because I didn't feel a puncture during the warm-up laps. Once I realized I had a problem, I tried to get out of the groove as quick as possible. I was almost clear of the rest of the field when I got hit by behind, and the next thing I knew, there were a good 4 or 5 cars spinning around me. I want to apologize to those involved in the wreck. It sucks for them, and it sucks for us, but we'll go to the next track and try to do better than what we did today," said Nash after he came out of the infield car center at the Rockingham Speedway.
Nash now sits 25th in points, 41 behind points leader and Rockingham race winner Joe Olenick. The 40th place finish for the rookie from Texas really hurt his points running, but Nash believes he can rebound, and follow up this setback with a performance like he had at the Texas 500. That performance included a pole and a 9th place finish.

I finally got some screen time, but they called me "Bigsby Foote" by mistake," said a disheartened Jim Kidd.

It's no big deal, I thought it was pretty funny actually.
Real announcers do that stuff all the time.

- Spoiler:
- Jonser proud of fifteenth place finish
After falling many laps down as the green flag waved, Craig Jonser was able to get all his laps back and rally to a fifteenth place finish at Rockhingham, keeping him in the top ten in points.
"We busted my ass off to get back on the lead lap, and it paid off. Kinda reminds me of when I won at Brazil in Lights a few years ago. If we keep this up, I can see us with a win by seasons end."

- Spoiler:
- Olenick "Ecstatic" About Win
Connecticut native Joe Olenick followed up an impressive 7th at the Texas 500 in dramatic fashion, passing Travis Marshall for the lead - and the win - with just over six laps remaining. An ecstatic Olenick, when asked about the commentator's remarks about him "sweating bricks", laughed and said "Bricks? That's putting it mildly. This is unreal right now."
The young rookie currently sits atop the standings, just one point in front of Texas 500 winner Bill Calhoun

Anderson to Run Rest of the Season in the 89
After Skullcandy requested Ike Durbin run the first two races of the ASCC season, it was announced that Seth Anderson would run the rest of the season in the 89. The 20 year old from Ohio has been very fast in regional late model leagues, and is expected to run well, though he says he is just looking for experience and seat time.
"I don't expect to do great in the car, I'm just looking to bring the car home in one piece."
