Sams Town 300 - Nationwide Series
So far in 2012, the Cuppies have been shut out of victory lane by James Buescher and Elliott Sadler. Can the Nationwide regulars continue to keep the Cup guys at bay? We'll find out in the Nevada desert!
Entry list to be posted later.

I wonder if Dan Wheldon will be a topic of conversation this weekend, since this will be the first race weekend at Las Vegas since his death.

Well on twitter, a lot of people (myself included), will be tweeting #77 on lap 77 of both NNS & NSCS races. I hope the commentators will atleast mention Wheldon.
Re: Sams Town 300 - Nationwide Series
Might be Trevor Bayne's last Nationwide race for a little while. The team had sponsorship for the first three races, but that's it. They said if he was leading the points, they'd keep the car going, but he's currently third, 17 points back.

Not sponsoring Bayne, Sponsoring Stenhouse. LOLROUSH.flyingturns89 wrote:Might be Trevor Bayne's last Nationwide race for a little while. I believe that this [and the Cup race] is the only race held at the LVMS oval in 2012. Mixed emotions at this track, which has become rather infamous now.

Unlike Stenhouse though, Bayne has a legitimate part time NSCS ride with Wood Brothers Racing.
As for LVMS hosting the first big event since what happened last October, I think seeing the track is going to give me a really errie feeling throughout the weekend. Hopefully, it won't be the case.

I think this weekend is going to be a lot like the Pepsi 400 was in '01. Yeah, something terrible happened here, but to the drivers its going to be business as usual. Now granted in the early some might think about it as they go through 1 and 2, but for the most part it should be a calm day.

Kyle Busch spins. ESPN doesn't air a half-decent angle of it. That footage might be disturbing to the children.

Curtis Key's three start and park trash cars ran less than 20 laps again. It's official, I want to punch him in the face.

Possibly the funniest moment in the race, Morgan Shepherd gets mad at Eric McClure for not having enough respect, and threatens to push him out of the way.

I'm watching the Backstretch camera on Racebuddy, and literally every time Kyle Fowler comes by, the camera pans to him. Kyle Fowlermania is apparently rampant with the back stretch camera guy...

What's his situation? Parking three cars so he can have one C-list competitive car?

Morgan doesn't get in over his head and enter FOUR cars just so they can park. Morgan's actually trying to be an owner-driver, He's just had some severe set-backs.

Yes, I know that. But the most cars he's ever S&P'd is one car. Besides, he doesn't do that as much.

Curtis Key start & parks three cars in order to have one car to race. Last night, he didn't run the four cars the full race but for the most part, that's what he does. I just find it annoying that he b****** and moans about them start & parking and one of his favourite drivers does the same thing.
Re: Sams Town 300 - Nationwide Series
Curtis Key is making an effort to fund one decent car by parking three. I don't see how it's a bad thing, especially since without it, Nationwide races would have short fields.

I'm complaining about his FOUR cars S&Ping. If he had one or two cars S&P, that's fine. But it's a little ridiculous to S&P four cars in one race. I f he wants to keep the #40 on track and race it, I'm fine with that. But to have the #42, #46, and #47 on track, running less than 20 laps a week combined, and making more than over three fourths of the field do, it's not much better for the sport than having short fields. I hate watching cars S&P, even though some really need too. I hate watching Morgan Shepherd S&P, even though he really needs too. I mean, he's three cars in his shop. But to S&P three cars and occasionally a fourth when you could very easily drop the three cars and have your one remaining race all out and attract a sponsor is absolutely rediculous.

Except for when those three cars that park is what pays for the #40 car to race...

My point from the last comment is that if they used their cars to let one car run the full race as hard as they could, they could attract a sponsor, and then they wouldn't need to park three cars.

Probably should be saying to me. That was my mistake at the time. However, I stand by my recent comments and say he could take out the three S&Ps to not only give his driver the OK to fight for spots at 100%, but give a driver a decent shot at a good points finish. I've seen what this team can do, and with the right driver, they could have a top 20 points finish. However, they're not gonna do that by parking three cars.

No I was specifically saying that towards Tyson, since he implied the #40 Start&Parked

Yes. Idk why it showed a different picture but when I was trying to post the Viper limo, the picture wouldn't show so I had no chance but to show the link instead.
