After a very successful Speedweeks, the Daytona 175 comes to an end with a new Daytona 175 champion.

Richard Garcia is the newest winner to the GOMA Cup series, breaking the streak that Ben Atkins had at 2 Daytona 175's in a row.

HB Hardee, former polesitter of the 175 finishes second, Cliff Raymond third, defending winner Ben Atkins 4th, and Cameron Rich 5th.

23 cars took the green to this prestigious GOMA race, which is almost half of what we had last year.

Next week the GOMA Cup train stops at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, but aside from Atlanta, GOMA's weekend of racing will consist of a mystery track for F5, Oulton Park for Trucks, and Kansas for NTS.

Also tonight NTS will be at Road America for their seasonly stop.

The 175 was a hell of a race. Was disappointed with 4th at first, but now I think about it, after I had to have an unscheduled pit stop and after being a lap down for a big portion of the race, to come back and get a top 5 is actually really good. Can't wait for next weeks racing!

This happened last night in the cup race with 3 to go, and in my late night boredom I decided to make a hastily made video about it.

I am also aware that the first two clips are the same, so sue me.

I am in the 47 and Tanner Clason is in the 79.

The "GOMA Lights Series" which is a series especially for lesser experienced drivers will be starting at the end of January, and so will the SSSS series, as the SuperSpeedway only series makes a return for a 6th (?) series. If you would like to register for either (or both) series, you can log onto our TS with the info on the first page, and register for our RPM here: http://www.racepointsmanager.com/pm4/league/1707/register

If you are looking to start in the game, the GOMA Lights Series is a great opportunity for you to get into the game! On top of this, you are not restricted from running any of our other series, so you can also earn experience in them!

The GOMA Lights Series will be on Friday nights, after the Formula 5 races, with qualifying usually at a time around 2AM GMT/9PM EST, and the SSSS Series will be on Saturday nights, after our Cup races, with qualifying usually at a time around 2:30AM GMT/9:30PM EST.

The Rookie Series which is coming soon would be the best place to start racing in GOMA, and also someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think you need to be a TeamSpeak regular in order to compete.

The only true requirement regarding Teamspeak is that you are present on Teamspeak if you are in the racing server competing. Some people don't have microphones/headsets and whatnot so talking isn't an issue, you just have to be able to hear the admins when they make an official call.

It's always nice seeing new members at our league and we have a lot of current regulars that are more than willing to help the new drivers. This new Lights series is the perfect chance for anyone to sign up and start racing if they had been reluctant to try it out in the past.

Tonight is the Truck Finale at Darlington. The race originally had server problems and had to rescheduled. Ben Atkins has a 111 point lead over teammate Cliff Raymond.

Also, next week we're doing a few test races for the GOMA Lights series. 10% length at Las Vegas, Iowa and Talladega.

Also tomorrow nights marks the return of SSSS. We kick it off at the 777 Speedway.

Nick Dawson wins the inaugural race in GOMA Lights at Daytona. Ike Durbin finished second with Kenny Myatt third, Daniel Leckliter, who led at the white flag finished 4th, and Ryan Bugaj rounded out the top 5.

Next week we go to Texas World Speedway.

And I plan on seeking redemption.

Three races into the GOMA Lights Season and there is still no clear winner for the championship. Barney Ward is your points leader after winning the most recent race at Watkins Glen, Ike Durbin is only one point behind Barney, yours truly is 2 points behind, Texas World Winner Alex Whitt is 7 points behind, and Daytona winner Nick Dawson is 8 points. The next race is Bristol, and will this shake up the points once again?

This happened in the SSSS practice for the finale at Hawgabahn, this was also my debut (I was in the #00), and I finished 8th. Joe Branch won his second race in the season, and Josh Batista won the title with a 17 point difference to Richard Garcia

In the last lap, close to the finish line, this also happened :

as the #17 of Rence Brown hit the #357 of Richard Garcia, and then they got onto the fence.

Well, two series have ended in the last two weeks

The Formula 5 saw Josh Batista be the crowned the new champion with a astonishing margin of 77 points over Cliff Raymond, the last champion. Batista won his title after attending 15 races of the 17, and winning 6 races.

The GOMA Cup Series saw Joe Branch being the champion, again, after winning 11 of the 26 races, he won the title with a commanding margin of 69 points over Dan Leckiliter. Joe came pretty much locked up in the lead after an 7th place at Martinsville, the only race that could lower the difference between him and Leckliter.

The Cup Series will return in May 3 with the Mountain Dew Kickstart Shootout and the Duels.

And what a race that was. Cliff Raymond made it two in a row for the Shootout with Daniel Leckliter surviving a last lap wreck to take second, defending series champion Joe Branch third, Luc Pellerin fourth, and Josh Batista rounding out the top 5.

The GOMA Lights series went to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for its penultimate event. Kenny Myatt took home his first ever win holding off Robert Nelson in the closing laps. Daniel Leckliter finished third and clinched the title after Ike Durbin wrecked early on, Durbin started on the pole and was looking to close in on Leckliter in the championship. Dave Daniel finished fourth and Treck Tauger finished 5th. The series will end it's inaugural season at the Phoenix International Raceway.

I can finally say I am the GOMA Lights Champion! Luc Pellerin went on to win after taking the lead on a restart in the closing laps. Casey Lester finished second, Daniel Leckliter third, Treck Tauger fourth, and Ike Durbin fifth.

Points are as follows (top 5)

Daniel Leckliter
Ike Durbin -36
Luc Pellerin -53
Treck Tauger -71
Alex Whitt -79

Next up for GOMA is the Cup series as they kick off their 10th season at the Daytona International Speedway for the Daytona 175.

And the closest finish in the history of GOMA just happened in the NTS @ Daytona as Rence Brown (simracerYEA) edged Dan Leckliter (navycook75) by less than 0.001 of a second.

For those who run in the Formula 5 Series, tomorrow's first events of Season 12 will be a Tripleheader, consisting of Monaco, Indy and Charlotte.
