Whitney Houston, 48, found dead in hotel room
As a lover of the 80s, it's hard to believe she's gone so soon. But she married that douchebag Bobby Brown so I'm not totally surprised by the news either.

Like other musicians and other high profile types, she headed down the path of self-destruction through bad relationships and drugs, may her soul rest in peace.
I wish her family and friends my condolences for what has happened.

Such a tragedy. Like Dan Wheldon and Amy Winehouse, some passes away at an age just too young to believe.
Re: Whitney Houston, 48, found dead in hotel room
I wouldn't put Wheldon in the same category as these knuckleheads though. Drugs are bad kids! It's just odd to me that people with so much talent and seemingly bottomless checking accounts choose such destructive behavior as their hobbies when there is a world of possibilities out there.

Well what I mean by that is that 2011 was a just to put it this way, a year of famous tragic deaths, and already I'm starting to get that feeling that 2012 could be likewise.

I'm guessing Kevin Grubb had the same thing that happened to him as well. Some people just get addicted to drugs and medicine but all that does is it ruins their lives and then eventually claim them.

So many celebs have died in the last few years. The only ones that I can think of that didn't do from drugs are Ed McMahon, Bernie Mac & Andy Rooney. It's a shame people go down these paths.

Don't forget Paul Newman as well.

Michael Jackson, Dame Elizabeth Taylor and Jimmy Savile can also be added to that list as well.

Michael Jackson was addicted to all kinds of prescription medications...I'd consider him as much a druggie as the others.

Wheldon was a driver in the prime of his career and supported his family.
Winehouse and Houston were both singers turned drug addicts that faded into obscurity before they died.

To be honest, yeah he was. Drugs are always the types of things that celebrities, TV presenters, Footballers, and even Racing drivers get addicted to and just can't stop taking them. It isn't good at all because people are putting their lives at risk, and doing their body some serious damage. I've recently learnt about the risks of illegal drugs in school and it clearly shows an effect of life in every way.

Sort of. Grubb was suspended twice from NASCAR for violating the substance abuse policy. However, unlike Houston and Winehouse, Grubb shot himself in his hotel room almost two years ago.

It really disgusts me how people talk more about these retarded drug addicts, horrible role models and praise over them like some kind of god/goddess instead of worrying about how some of the crap out there can actually affect our lives.

Oh man why would he do that? He probably had enough of life without racing in NASCAR.
Re: Whitney Houston, 48, found dead in hotel room
A celebrity culture inevitably creates simple topics for people to talk about instead of complicated matters that require more thought and a greater understanding of the world around them. Now let's sit back and watch as the ambulance chasers profit off of reporting on the last weeks, days, hours, minutes, and seconds of Whitney Houston's life...
When they could do the right thing for all her family and friends and let her rest in peace.
If it sounds like I'm disgusted with the excessive reporting on her death, you're damn right I am.

I guess I might as well pay my respect. R.I.P Whitney Houston 1963 - 2012.
Re: Whitney Houston, 48, found dead in hotel room
Whitney Houston was a drug addict, so it wouldn't surprise me with her dying of an overdose. A really bad relationship started all of it and there we go.
