Barrichello considering switch to IndyCar

Formula 1 Veteran Rubens Barrichello is likely to race in IndyCar this year after a driving a KV Racing car on Monday. The 39 year old Brazilian completed 94 laps of the short course version of the Sebring track so he is hoping that he can make it on to the grid for the first race of the 2012 IndyCar season at the St. Petersburg track on March 25th, which ironically is the date of my birthday. Here is a recent quote from Barrichello after his testing day: "If you go purely from joy, it wouldn't be a problem. I have still so much passion for the speed and I'm quite young in my mind and I believe I'm getting better."

What do you think of his switch from F1 to IndyCar?

Check my comment again: He has no further plans. That article says absolutely nothing about him actually considering a move to Indy. It basically just says he enjoyed the test. However, I would love to see Rubens come to Indy.

Yes I know. He's obviously hoping to keep his MotorSport career alive by doing a bit of IndyCar and seeing how well it will go for him.
